«Breaking News» Trump regrets not axing James Comey right away

Donald Trump said Tuesday that his main regret from the James Comey saga is failing to fire him months earlier than he did.

The president cut loose his FBI director in May 2017, a decision that led to the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller following a series of media leaks by a disaffected Comey.

'If I did one mistake with Comey, I should have fired him before I got here. I should have fired him the day I won the primaries,' Trump told The Hill. 

'I should have fired him right after the convention, say, "I don’t want that guy." Or at least fired him the first day on the job. ... I would have been better off firing him or putting out a statement that I don’t want him there when I get there,' he said.

Comey got the axe in May 2017, but the president now says he wishes he had let him go immediately upon taking office

During the 2016 campaign, Comey was responsible for exonerating Democrat Hillary Clinton in a federal probe of her interactions with her own secret email server, where classified documents were later found.

After he took office, according to Comey, Trump asked him for a pledge of loyalty. Comey later said he parried that request.

The president has long been critical of what he sees as a cabal of forces arrayed against him inside the FBI and the Department of Justice.

During one interview in June he told the Fox News Channel that Comey 'was the ringleader' of a 'den of thieves' that conspired to keep him out of the White House.

'What he did was criminal,' he said then.

Trump's obsession with former FBI agent Peter Strzok's and FBI lawyer Lisa Page's role in the special counsel's Russia investigation also had something to do with his sense of the Comey timeline.

Strzok and Page, engaged in a secret love affair two years ago, texted between themselves about finding a way to 'stop' Trump from beating Clinton.

And after he fired Comey, Trump said Tuesday, the pair tried to persuade Deputy FBI Diretor Andrew McCabe to give them a longer leash to investigate unproven claims that the Trump campaign colluded with Russian agents.

'Comey was a bad guy. He gets fired. They only have Andy left because they know they’re doing wrong,' he said.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
