«Breaking News» 'STFU SUSAN!' Debra Messing reignites feud with Susan Sarandon

Debra Messing has reignited her long running feud with Susan Sarandon after the actress suggested that Donald Trump's poor presidency had ignited a revolution.

'This is a revolution,' Sarandon said in an interview with Variety. 'Maybe things had to get so bad before real change actually could happen.

'We just have to stay awake.'

'STFU SUSAN,' Messing tweeted. 'Oh yes, PLEASE let's give Trump CREDIT. I mean how else are you able to walk out on the street. Convince yourself that that this CATASTROPHE of a President who you said was better that [Hillary Clinton] IS NOT ripping children away from parents seeking asylum.'

Sarandon, 71, quickly hit back, explaining that she was not celebrating Trump, but was glad to see actual change happening in politics, and more women and people of color being moved to run for election.

She snapped at the Will and Grace star not to take Variety's headline, 'Donald Trump has, if anything, inspired more women and people of color to run for office, says actress Susan Sarandon,' too seriously.

'Debs, before you get yourself all self-righteous try clicking on the video and listening to what I actually say, not @Variety's clickbait headline, which btw has no quotation marks. That's a clue..'

The actresses, both staunch Democrats, supported different candidates for the 2016 election, with Sarandon supporting Bernie Sanders, and Messing putting her weight behind Hillary Clinton.

The feud began when Sarandon, asked by MSNBC's Chris Hayes who she would vote for if Sanders lost the nomination, said 'I don't know. I'm going to see what happens'.

Some believed that she was saying she wouldn't vote at all, or even that she would vote for Trump.

After reading the interview, Messing tweeted: 'Susan Sarandon muses that Trump presidency would be better for the country than Hillary. Wonder if she'd say that if she were poor, gay, Muslim or an immigrant.'

Sarandon responded: 'Watch the interview. Don't just read the headlines. #Spin.'

She also clarified that she never said she had even considered voting for Trump.

'LOL that I would ever vote Trump,' Sarandon tweeted.

The pair then went back and forth on Twitter, with Susan accusing her rival of 'RT-ing personal attacks' against her before finally finishing the exchange by tweeting: 'Alright @DebraMessing report me to the homeroom teacher and let's STOP.'

Messing later admitted that she 'became a big mouth on Twitter' while passionately campaigning for Clinton last year.

Their feud was revisited last year when Andy Cohen asked socialist Sarandon about the incident during an appearance on his talk show in May.

'You know, I think she's not very well informed, so sometimes she gets in areas that she really hasn’t thought through,' said Susan.

'She’s Trumpian a little bit like that, so I don’t have anything against her personally.

'I just sometimes I have to say, ‘But you don’t have the information.'

In Saradon's latest interview, the Thelma and Louise star, who has been critical of how the Democratic party has been run, said that she wasn't a fan of Trump's presidency but that the only positive thing was that 'unintentionally, he has energized' young Democrats.

'He was so bumbling, he's like a character from a cartoon,' said Sarandon, saying that Trump's ineptitude had highlighted other issues that had been a problem for a long time, such as deportations and Democrats losing seats.

She said that so many more women and people of color were in the primaries and running for governor than ever before.

'The cracks are where the light comes through,' she said, quoting Leonard Cohen.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
