All eyes were on special guest Doria Ragland at the celebration to mark the launch of Meghan's first royal solo project - a recipe book in support of victims of the Grenfell tragedy - on Thursday.
But in addition to Meghan's mother, there was another figure ever-present at the Duchess' side as she mingled with her guests in a marquee erected in the grounds of Kensington Palace, her visibly proud husband, Prince Harry.
So much so that, when a sudden gust of wind blew strands of Meghan's air to outside the tent, Harry was on hand to swiftly smooth it back into place for her.

The Prince seemed delighted to let his wife of four months take centre stage today at the relaxed alfresco lunch to mark the release of Together: Our Community Cookbook.
Meghan, dressed in a pleated skirt by her designer friend Misha Nonoo, a black high-neck top and heels, delivered a three-minute speech to guests before lunch, in which she described the charity cookbook as a 'passion project' and a 'labour of love' that she had been working on with the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen for the past nine months.

The Duchess of Sussex launched a charity cookbook at Kensington Palace today, marking her first solo project as a fully-fledged member of the Royal Family.
She looked as elegant as ever for the occasion, combining some of her favourite labels. The pleated skirt is by her friend Misha Nonoo, her high neck bodysuit is Tuxe, whose basics she has worn before and those Sarah Flint shoes are a repeat too. But of course it was the coat that caught our attention!
We love the jewel blue hue and dramatic peaked lapels on this coat, which is by Smythe. Meghan has got several winter warmers by the Canadian brand in her wardrobe, but this has got to be our favourite so far. And the good news is that it's available to buy!

Addressing the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen at the event today, Meghan said: 'I'm so privileged to know you. Working on this project for the past nine months has been a tremendous labour of love.
'I have just recently moved to London and I felt so immediately embraced by the women in the kitchen, by your kindness and to be in this city and be in this room and see how multi-cultural it was.
'On a personal level I feel so proud to live in a city with so much diversity. This whole country is represented by the people in the kitchen. It's pretty outstanding.'

During the speech, the Duchess also thanked the women for letting her work with them on the project - describing how it 'took a village' to realise her vision.
'There's so many people to thank - I'm extremely grateful because this is my first project and I appreciate your support,' she said.
'It truly took a village to see this through. Everyone has embraced this so fully because it has been a passion project for us all.'
The Duchess also emphasised the fact that the project was 'more than a cookbook', adding that the 'power of food' is the 'story behind it'.

'Thank you so much for letting me be part of this and letting me be on this adventure with you and I'm so excited to see the projects we will continue to do in your community and also how you will inspire people globally by sharing your stories and your recipes,' she said.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
