The Duchess of Sussex creates a fashion frenzy whenever she steps out in public, but today it was her mother Doria who stole the show.
The 62-year-old social worker and yoga instructor made a suprise appearance alongside her daughter at Kensington Palace as she hosted a launch event for a charity cookbook benefiting victims of the Grenfell Tower tragedy.
Doria was the picture of elegance in a camel jumper and cropped trousers in a matching shade, with a Pashmina draped around her shoulders, as she accompanied Meghan to a Kensington Palace reception celebrating Together: Our Community Cookbook.
Stylist and PR expert Rochelle White told Femail: 'I think that her look is classic and eye catching. She 100 per cent stands out more than Meghan, but not in a bad way.
'The colour of the outfit suits her skin tone, her outfit is well tailored, simple and classic.'
Celebrity stylist Lucas Armitage added: 'Doria has shown us why choosing one tone and building an outfit around it makes a chic ensemble.

The Duchess of Sussex launched a charity cookbook at Kensington Palace today, marking her first solo project as a fully-fledged member of the Royal Family.
She looked as elegant as ever for the occasion, combining some of her favourite labels. The pleated skirt is by her friend Misha Nonoo, her high neck bodysuit is Tuxe, whose basics she has worn before and those Sarah Flint shoes are a repeat too. But of course it was the coat that caught our attention!
We love the jewel blue hue and dramatic peaked lapels on this coat, which is by Smythe. Meghan has got several winter warmers by the Canadian brand in her wardrobe, but this has got to be our favourite so far. And the good news is that it's available to buy!

It was perhaps no surprise to see Meghan's mother support her in her first solo project as a working royal as the pair have always been extremely close.
In an inverview with Glamour magazine, the former Suits star named Doria as one of the women who has changed her life.
'We can just have so much fun together, and yet, I'll still find so much solace in her support,' she said. 'That duality coexists the same way it would in a best friend.'
Meanwhile Harry referred to Doria as 'amazing' during an interview to mark the couple's engagement.

The social worker and yoga instructor flew in from LA to join the couple at the Invictus Games closing ceremony in Toronto in October and could be seen dancing enthusiastically as Bruce Springsteen, played his hit Dancing In The Dark.
And Prince Harry broke with tradition by asking both parents for permission to marry Meghan before popping the question.
Last month it was reported that Doria is set to move to the UK to be closer to her daughter and support her as she navigates royal life.

Source said she has already started to prepare for her departure to London after she quit her job as a social worker for the Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services clinic in Culver City, Los Angeles, in May.
A close friend in LA said: 'She is getting ready to move to London. I think she will be going as soon as possible. I know that she was eager to live closer to her daughter.
‘She also fell in love with England and told me when she got back that it’s somewhere she believes she too could happily live,’ the source added.
Another neighbour in the LA area of Windsor Hills added: ‘Doria and Meghan have always been inseparable. Doria is beside herself with excitement at the thought of moving to London.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
