«Breaking News» Brad Shields is to have a plate inserted into his face and will be out for four weeks

Brad Shields will have a plate inserted into his face in the coming days and is set for a four-week lay-off after breaking his cheekbone for Wasps on Saturday.

The England flanker, 27, who was born in New Zealand made his debut for his new club in their defeat to Exeter at the Ricoh Arena.

He went off in the 44th minute after clashing heads with Chiefs' scrum-half Stuart Townsend.

Wasps flanker Brad Shields will have a plate inserted into his face in the coming days 

Initially it was feared that Shields would be out for up to eight weeks.

But Sportsmail can reveal, while he has broken his cheekbone, after his operation this week the flanker will only spend a month on the sidelines.

The news will be music to the ears of Eddie Jones who will now get to see him play before he picks his England squad for autumn Tests against South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
