«Breaking News» Body is recovered from 1,000ft deep in Lake Tahoe after consultant, 33, drowned

Police have recovered a body from 1,000ft deep in Lake Tahoe after a consultant drowned when a family boating trip went horribly wrong.

Chaitanya Datla, 33, dived into the water without a life jacket last week and couldn't swim back to his family's rented boat.

His panicked uncles and cousins called police after he disappeared under the surface.

Mr Datla, from Cameron Park, California, was reported missing before his body was found and identified on Monday.

Mr Datla worked as a Project Manager at TechTu Business Solutions having graduated from SIUE School of Business in 2016.

His heartbroken brother, Aditya, told MailOnline: 'Chaitanya was a highly ambitious and fun-loving guy. He was adventurous and always wanted to do his best.

'He was an inspiration and a role model. We're still in shock.'

Aditya said he was not on the boat the time of the tragedy but his cousins and uncles were. He said Mr Datla was a very good swimmer.

A police statement read: 'On September 17, 2018, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit recovered a body from a depth of 1,062 feet in Lake Tahoe.

'The recovery was made while searching for a missing person, who reportedly drowned the week prior.

'The decedent has been positively identified as 33 year old Chaitanya Datla of Cameron Park, Ca, the missing person from last week. Next of kin notifications have been made.

'This search and recovery effort was unprecedented in Lake Tahoe due to the extreme depths and the technology needed to facilitate this type of recovery.

'The technology, an underwater remote operated vehicle, was recently donated to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office by a local resident and they graciously offered their assistance to El Dorado County.

'The Douglas County deputies recently completed ROV and SONAR training with Bruce’s Legacy, a non-profit search and recovery group out of Wisconsin that was instrumental in other recoveries around the region and nation.

'South Lake Tahoe Fire and Rescue Marine 17 responded to assist Douglas County Sheriff Marine 7 with recovery. The South Lake Tahoe Fire and Rescue Marine Unit were also donated by the same local resident that donated the ROV.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
