«Breaking News» The Bachelor's Cat CRIES live on 2DayFM after pressure of fan backlash and death threats

The Bachelor's Cat Henesey broke down in tears during a radio interview on Friday while discussing how her life has fallen apart after being branded the show's 'villain'.

Being portrayed as a 'mean girl' by producers Warner Bros. finally proved too much for the fashion designer to handle during a live chat with 2DayFM's Em, Grant & Ed.

After being unceremoniously sent home by Nick 'The Honey Badger' Cummins on Thursday's episode, Cat, 24, revealed she had received a barrage of hateful messages and death threats on social media.

Discussing how The Bachelor has changed her life, Cat told host Em Rusciano: 'You watch it back and then you get, like, hundreds of death threats in your inbox.

'No one deserves that no matter how you behave or anything, no one deserves to be told to go and kill themselves.'

When Em then asked if Cat had closed down her social media accounts, she replied: 'No, I haven't... I have been [reading it], and there's been a lot of nights where I haven't been sleeping.'

Instead, Cat has now restricted interaction on her Instagram posts to only allow friends that she follows to comment, with nothing negative appearing on her profile.

'It's hard and I apologise for offending people and stuff': Following her exit from The Bachelor on Thursday, Cat was very apologetic for her actions

Cat added: 'It's hard and I apologise for offending people and stuff. You're in a heightened situation and emotions are going crazy.

'I've been pigeon holed as this awful person and it's not me.

'Even the whole, like, jewellery and Bali thing... I only spoke about that when I got asked, but the questions were never shown. I look like an idiot.'

Em then asked if Cat was angry with The Bachelor producers over her negative portrayal, to which she responded: 'Of course I am, and I'm upset.'

'We had great relationships with everyone in there, the crew and producers,' she added.

Her emotional outburst came after an intense morning of back-to-back media interviews starting at 5am on Friday.

In another blow to her reputation, Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola and Byron Cooke cancelled Cat's appearance on their Fox FM show at the last minute.

The presenters made the decision not to speak to Cat because they had listened to feedback from their audience and 'do not condole bullying'.

Fifi said: 'We're a very welcoming show, we're not a nasty show, we're not a mean show, we don't bring [guests] on here to humiliate them or to grill them.

'And I thought to myself, "I could not, in all good conscience, welcome her to the show", and if you can’t welcome someone onto your show, why are they coming on?'

Controversial: It wasn't the smoothest run either, with Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola and Byron Cooke pulling Cat's appearance on their Fox FM radio show at the last minute

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
