Luther fans were left stunned after they watched the detective enjoy a steamy romp with Alice Morgan on Wednesday night.
In the flashback scene, psychopath Alice (Ruth Wilson) seduced DCI Luther (Idris Elba) in the Sussex beach house where he was at the start of series four - presumably placing their rendezvous before then.
Alice made her dramatic return to Luther in episode one, when she banged on his door and said 'Wotcher.'

In the risque scenes, Alice asked the DCI if he felt 'aroused' as she climbed on top of him and passionately kissed him.
Viewers were left gobsmacked by the romp, with dozens taking to Twitter to comment on the steamy sex session.
One wrote: 'AAAAHHHH After all this time the scene I really needed in my life!,' while another added: 'Loving the return of #Alice in #luther.'
Another fan chimed: 'THEY GOT IT ON'.

Alice made her return after five years, with viewers previously believing the character supposedly 'died' off-screen when she was drowned by Megan.
After turning up on her love interests doorstep at the end of episode one, the second installment opened two years ago when Alice was selling diamonds in Europe, which belonged to London criminal mastermind George Cornelius.
After a car crash and being double-crossed, Alice is unable to tell apart broken glass and the priceless diamonds and so fakes her own death and harbours a grudge to kidnap one of George's sons to give her the money she is owed.
Ruth's character has had a complicated relationship with Luther in past episodes. They initially met when Alice's parents had been murdered, but it turned out she was a psychopathic genius.

The actress told the Metro last month that she couldn't wait to get back in the role of Alice. She said: ‘I’ve missed Alice as everyone else has.
'She’s really fun character to play and I get to do some action in this season.
'I get to kill a few more people… and have some great scenes with Idris.
‘It’s an action packed series. Alice is back with a vengeance. She’s funnier than ever, she’s more lethal than ever and she and Luther get up to some dastardly things.’

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
