«Breaking News» 'We're in the building.' Socialist star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez boasts of Vanity Fair photoshoot

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Wednesday boasted of a Vanity Fair photo shoot she participated in with her new female colleagues in Congress.

'We’re in the building. Swearing in tomorrow,' she wrote on an Instagram caption of the photo.

Called the 'new wave' by the magazine, the sleek shot features newly-elected members of the House Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, Ilhan Omar, Deb Haaland, Veronica Escobar, and Sharice Davids.

The photo, taken by Martin Schoeller, appears in the January issue of Vanity Fair and was posted online the day before the women take the oath of office.

The magazine also features other Democrats who will be influential in the coming year, including incoming Speaker Nancy Pelosi and committee chairs who will have the power to subpoena members of President Donald Trump's administration.

All six women made history in their own way in the 2018 election.

Pressley will become Massachusetts’ first black congresswoman.

Omar is one of two Muslim women elected to Congress and she will be the first hijab-wearing member of the House. Democrats plan to change the rule banning religious head coverings on the House floor as one of their first acts on Thursday so she can wear her head scarf.

Haaland and Davids will be the first Native American women in Congress.

Escobar is one of two Hispanic women coming into Congress this year that Texas has ever elected to federal office.

Ocasio-Cortez, 29,  is the youngest woman ever elected to Congress.

She has become the most recognized face of the group and a rising star in the party since she knocked off Rep. Joe Crowley in a stunning upset in New York's June primary.

She has pushed to her mark on the Democratic agenda even before she has taken the oath of office on Thursday.

And she is beginning her congressional career with a rebellion against incoming Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Ocasio-Cortez announced on Wednesday she was voting 'no' on the House rules package Democrats' will present when they take power on Thursday.

The rules package is one of the first votes the House will take under Pelosi's reign. It would be highly irregular and quite dramatic if it's voted down given the majority in power makes the rules of the House and members vote for it as a matter of form.

Link hienalouca.com Interesting to note Looking for an investor or sponsor for a project to grow dinosaurs and relict plants. Requires the sum of investments from 400000$ to 900000$. The exact amount can not say because there are many nuances. It will be necessary to build a small laboratory with certain parameters. To all interested persons please write on an email angocman@gmail.com . It is the scientific project and I do not know whether it is possible to earn on it. The probability of success of the project is approximately 60%. That will be very interesting.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
