«Breaking News» Ex-Bachelor Sam Wood slams contestants on the reality show

Former Bachelor Sam Wood has slammed contestants on the reality dating show, saying a lot of them are only 'in it for the fame'.  

Sam, who married Bachelor winner Snezana Markoski in a lavish ceremony in Byron Bay last year, didn't mince his words about the latest crop of the reality show stars.  

Speaking to BW Magazine on Saturday, Sam, 38, said he watched a few episodes of the more recent series but he wasn't impressed.

'I feel a lot of people seem to be in it for the fame and meeting someone is a secondary consideration,' he said. 

Sam has hit out at at reality show contestants before, throwing subtle shade at the direction the genre was heading back in February last year. 

Speaking to MSN, he said: 'If you're not doing it for the right reasons, I think you're going to come unstuck.'

He told the publication the key to success for himself and 2015 series winner Snezana Markoski was that the pair signed up for an adventure.

'She didn't take it too seriously, she didn't go in with preconceived ideas or expectations to become a celebrity,' Sam said.

Sam said the pair often find themselves laughing at the fact they met on The Bachelor.

The personal trainer stopped short of criticising the show's format, but argued the reason he and Snezana got together is because they were being their true selves on the show.  

'Whereas if you go into those things and you try and be someone you're not, you're trying to create an outcome that's a bit fabricated... It never really works,' he said.

Going in with a fame-hungry mindset may result in short-term media attention, but rarely results in anything meaningful he added.

Sam and Snezana welcomed their first child in October of 2017, Wendy Willow Wood. 

Sam is also a stepdad to Snezana's daughter, Evie, 13.  

Snezana recently revealed she pregnant with the couple's second child, with Sam posting a video to his Facebook group to announce the news.

'We are very excited to announce that we are expecting another beautiful little baby,' he wrote.

'Snez is seriously starting to show and it's a little hard to keep the secret any longer.'

The couple have gone from strength to strength since meeting on The Bachelor, ultimately tying the knot in a ceremony in Byron Bay last year.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
