«Breaking News» Executive says she stole millions of dollars at the direction of her husband

An international tax executive who stole $4million from her employers claims her husband made her do so because he was preparing for the end of the world.

The court heard that Gretchen Camp, a Swisher International tax manager, used the stolen cash to buy a 460-acre Georgia farm with wood cabin and a 6ft chain link fence, guns and ammo and significant sums of gold for her doomsday prepper husband Richard Camp.

On Tuesday, she pleaded not guilty to charges of fraud, grand theft and money laundering.

Charges against both Gretchen, 36, and Richard, 35, arose more than a month ago.

According to prosecutors, the couple schemed to take millions of dollars from Swisher, a Jacksonville-based tobacco company.

Gretchen, 36, and Richard Camp, 35, have been charged with 15 counts of fraud, grand theft and money laundering to which both have pleaded not guilty

Investigators say Gretchen embezzled $4 million by creating bogus invoices and stole another $1 million that the federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms refunded to Swisher. She had been with the company for nearly a decade when she was arrested.

According to the arrest warrant as seen by News4Jax, Gretchen Camp, who was on an $80,000 salary, confessed to Swisher executives she embezzled under pressure from her husband, saying in part, '...because he wanted more than she could afford to buy on her salary.'

According to the arrest warrant, she told investigators, '...the funds were used to buy significant sums of gold and silver by her husband … due to the fact that her husband was preparing for the fall of the US government.'

She then revealed to investigators how the money went to purchase a 460-acre farm in Metter, Georgia along with farm equipment.

Gretchen, who was a  Swisher International tax manager and her husband, Richard, are under investigation on suspicion of embezzling $4 million from the Jacksonville-based company

Investigators said it's 'abundantly clear' that Richard Camp knew his wife was stealing from Swisher and used that money to make purchases for his own benefit including antique cars

The couple are believed to have bought a $500,000 beach front condo at this apartment complex in Fernandina Beach, Florida

The warrant goes on to state how Gretchen told investigators her husband used money to buy '...a significant number of firearms and ammunition.'

Richard Camp, who has been unemployed for some time, ended up purchasing nine vehicles, some of which appear to be pricey antique collectibles.

Adding to the mounting evidence, a recent wire transfer by the couple has led investigators to believe the couple also purchased a condo in Fernandina Beach for about $500,000.

Prosecutors believe the entire scheme began in late 2017 when Gretchen started to create fake invoices for a company that did not actually supply services to Swisher International.

It's alleged at least $4 million was funneled to a company owned by a friend of Gretchen's husband, in Georgia . The couple are also believe to have bought a $500,000 home in Florida

If wife, Gretchen, continues to blame her husband, Richard, for carrying out the alleged fraud, there is a chance she could end up testifying against him, despite being married

Instead, it's alleged the invoices were paid to a company called Lodge and Anchor, located in Macon, Georgia which was owned by a friend of Richard Camp.

It's believed at least $4 million has been paid to the fake company over the past year alone.

Investigators said it's 'abundantly clear' that Richard Camp knew his wife was stealing from Swisher and used that money to make purchases for his own benefit.

Both Richard and Gretchen Camp have been charged with 15 counts of fraud, grand theft and money laundering charges to which both have pleaded not guilty.

The pair remain free on a $250,000 bond, although the source of that money is also now being investigated.

The couple, who could face separate trials, would face between 20 and 30 years in jail if convicted.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
