Dozens of strangers attended the funeral of a troubled British army veteran who was a regular sight in his home town where he was seen selling poppies every year.

The Crewkerne branch of the Royal British Legion in Somerset then began an appeal to try and get people to pay their respects.

The campaign gathered momentum, reaching not only those from Somerset but also far beyond.
On Friday former friends, ex-servicemen and Yeovil MP Marcus Fysh flocked to Yeovil Crematorium to pay their respects to the army veteran who is believed to have taken his own life.
Stewart served in tours of Northern Ireland, and he also served in the Falklands campaign of 1982 and the first Gulf war in 1991.

But after he left the army in 1997, his life "seemed to be one tragedy after another".
His father died in hospital during a routine operation in 1997 and his mother was so distraught by his father's death, she took her own life the very same day.
On the day of his mother and father's funeral his sister was killed in a road accident.

A few years later he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and PTSD which caused the eventual breakdown of his marriage.
His battle with Parkinson's became so extreme he had to be fitted with an electronic implant inserted into his brain several years ago.
He spent the remainder of his years of his life standing at local Poppy Appeal stalls in Yeovil until 'life was no longer worth living'.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
