«Breaking News» Ex-fiancé of Princess Beatrice's property tycoon beau pledges to 'forgive'

Property tycoon Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi was still sharing his life and London home with Chinese-American Dara Huang when he met Princess Beatrice.

But, happily, Edoardo’s ex-fiancee does not appear to hold grudges.

Dara has shared a New Year’s message with friends online in which she expresses her gratitude for the support she has received in the past year and pledges to ‘forgive’.

News of Beatrice’s relationship with Edoardo, 35, known as Edo, was made public in November.

‘Thank you for the love and support I got from everyone . . . for my strength and blessings,’ Dara writes in the positive message. ‘Love, laugh, share, forgive.’ Next to it is a photograph of her with her two-year-old son by Edo, Christopher ‘Wolfie’ Woolf.

Old friends, the romance between Beatrice, 30, and Edo is said to have blossomed after her younger sister Princess Eugenie’s wedding in October. 

However, they have still not been pictured together in public.

Before Christmas, the Daily Mail Diary pictured them leaving separately from swanky London private members’ club, Home House. 

Exiting the venue in the early hours, the couple were careful to stagger their departures so they could not be pictured getting into the same Range Rover together.

The rest of Dara’s family appear to be less forgiving.

Her father, Po-Tien, a retired scientist with U.S. space agency Nasa, told this newspaper last month: ‘Why would they want to go and break this up? I can’t understand it. It’s not fair, but the Royal Family are so powerful. What can I do?’

One of Edo’s friends said: ‘As always in these cases, there are two sides to the story.’

 Friends of Prince Philip’s godson, Ashley Hicks, were saddened to read in this column in September that he had walked out on his pregnant wife, Kata de Solis, after only three years of marriage. 

Now, the American fashionista, 37, who has an 11-month-old son, Caspian, with Hicks, has revealed she is staying close to her husband’s family. 

‘We’re so lucky to live beside Lady Pamela,’ she says of Ashley’s mother, daughter of the 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma. 

‘She’s the best grandmother.’ 

So friendly are they that Lady Pamela, who was one of the Queen’s bridesmaids, has helped name her unborn boy. 

‘His name will be Horatio,’ Kata tells Tatler. ‘Lady Pamela has also decided his nickname should be Dickie.’ 

It will be a touching tribute to Lord Mountbatten, who was known as Dickie. He was assassinated by the IRA in 1979.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
