«Breaking News» Emily Blunt suffers an unfortunate backlash at the SAG Awards 2019

Twitter was far from A Quiet Place on Sunday evening as Emily Blunt made a successful appearance at the 25th Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The British actress triumphed in the category for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actress in a Supporting Role for her appearance in husband John Krasiniski’s post-apocalyptic horror film at the star-studded ceremony.

But viewers were distracted by her sweeping pink dress, with many comparing the custom designed Michael Kors Collection gown to a vagina.

The bone of contention appeared to be its ruffled shoulders, a flourish that drew unfortunate comparisons to the female labia as fans poked fun across social media.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer joked: 'Can someone tell me why Emily Blunt showed up the the SAG Awards looking like a vagina?'

While another quipped: 'The #SAGAwards for Female Actor in a Supporting Role (film) goes to #EmilyBlunt for a #QuietPlace her dress wins the award for Most Like a Vagina.'

Whilst working the red carpet at the annual Screen Actors Guild Awards this 2019, Emily Blunt looked dreamy in a vision of millenial pink, wearing a bespoke gown by super brand Michael Kors.

This ruffle structured detailing, with halterneck bodice is completely unique and sets the look above all the rest. We also adore the romantic train style of the hem and the striking sparkle fabric that is simply eye catching.

Also the accessories in this ensemble certainly weren't overlooked, with Sam Edelman shoes, a sparkling Jimmy Choo clutch and diamonds from Forevermark, the look is finished and pristine.

'Not in a bad way but anyone else think emily blunt's dress looks a wee bit like a vagina,' wrote a fourth viewer.

Another added: 'Love her, voted for her, but are we not going to acknowledge that Emily Blunt looks like she's wearing a vagina?'

However some were huge fans of the dress, despite its debatable comparison, with one raving: 'Emily Blunt's labia dress is EVERYTHING!'

Recurring theme: Many fans were in agreement about the dress, although some claimed to love it despite its dubious comparison

Elsewhere others were less convinced, with one confused fan posting: 'Who started the rumor that emily blunt is wearing a labia dress i'm... um...'

While another, evidently outraged by  the comparison, added: 'Emily Blunt's dress is gorgeous! Very haute couture, to say it looks like a vagina is just ignorant.'

Clearly in agreement, another fan of the Michael Kors gown wrote: 'A 'mostly-gay' male for most of my life, I'm startled that people think this looks like a vagina. I don't have as large a sample size as many straight men, but I've *never* seen or been in a vagina that looks like this! What was I missing?'

Disagreement: Elsewhere others were less convinced by the comparison, with some expressing a mixture of confusion and outrage

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
