A woman is accused of assaulting her 94-year-old mother with a hammer because she asked the suspect's boyfriend to go home at the end of the evening.

Sandy Mathis, 56, has warrants for her arrest on charges of aggravated assault and simple battery for the incident that happened earlier this month.

Mathis lived has lived with her mother, Willie Monroe, for the last 20 years.

The incident was allegedly prompted after Monroe asked for Mathis' boyfriend to leave her home that night according to Channel 2 Action News.

'My mama's old school,' Ronald Monroe, Mathis' sister said. 'It's 10 o'clock on a Monday night ... my mama's like, "Tell your company he has to leave." And my sister became enraged.'

Willie Monroe survived the attack and told police that her daughter picked up a hammer and hit her head, back and hands, Brown said.

'My mom says she was on the ground in a fetal position as my sister was just hitting her with the hammer, Ronald Monroe said.

'My sister had been drinking something. Her eyes were pink, according to my mother,' Monroe told DailyMail.com. 'But children and parents act the same way no matter what age they are.'

Mathis told police a different story claiming her mother's injuries were from a recent fall.

In a police incident report, officers noticed bruising on her hands but no signs of injuries to her head.

Ronald Monroe, left, says his sister,Sandy Mathis, right, reacted badly after their mother asked he daughter's boyfriend to go back home at the end of the evening

Atlanta police spokeswoman Stephanie Brown released a statement that said, in part: 'Officers offered the mother EMS, but she declined several times. At the time of the call, officers did not feel there was evidence to support the claim the mother was assaulted with a hammer.'

Willie Monroe told officers that the assault ended when she grabbed the hammer from Mathis' hands, but the officers noted that she 'did not appear physically strong enough to take the hammer away if this actually happened,' the report said.

Investigators are now looking into the incident after police learned that she admitted herself to Grady Memorial Hospital after officers left.

Doctors determined she had hand injuries, which prompted the arrest warrants to be obtained, Brown said to AJC.

Willie Monroe is due to leave hospital later on Tuesday by which time it is hoped her daughter will in police custody.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
