«Breaking News» NASCAR fan crashes Mustang on New Smyrna Speedway in Florida

This is the shocking moment a NASCAR fan loses control and crashes his Mustang during a spectator race.

The motorist was one of nine drivers taking part in the fan event in New Smyrna Speedway, Florida.

On what appeared to be the last lap, the Shelby driver lost control on the last turn of the oval and spun before crashing backwards into a wall.

He looks sheepish after wrecking the $60,000 sports car on the NASCAR track in Florida

Tyres could be heard screeching before the back bumper was ripped off the burgundy $60,000 (£47,500) GT350 on impact.

In the clip, uploaded to YouTube, the commentator could be heard shouting: 'Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness. Hard crash. Red flag, red flag, red flag.'

When the driver opened the door the crowd was encouraged to give him a round of applause. 

As the Shelby approached the finish line on its last lap, tyres could be heard screeching before the back bumper was ripped off the burgundy car on impact

It crossed the finish line backwards and the air bag can be seen ejecting as it crashes against the advertising boards

Parts of the rear bumper fly off in different directions as the commentator shouts: 'Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness. Hard crash. Red flag, red flag, red flag'

The uninjured man appeared from his vehicle looking sheepish after wrecking his sports car.

He was taken away by medics while his car was towed from the track. 

Spectators with fast street cars were invited to take part in the race around the track without any roll cages or harnesses.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
