«Breaking News» Louisiana woman gets into feud with neighbor over her Christmas dragons decorations

Tis the season for revenge!

A Louisiana fantasy writer has gone viral for her feud with her neighbor over her dragon nativity scene decorations on her front lawn.

Last week Diana Rowland, of Mandeville, received a nasty note from a disgruntled neighbor who called her inflatable dragons wearing Santa hats and holding Christmas presents 'inappropriate'.

The neighbor left a harsh anonymous note on her doorstep asking her to take the festive display down saying 'it makes your neighbors wonder if you are involved in a demonic cult'.

'Your dragon display is only marginally acceptable at Halloween. It is totally inappropriate at Christmas...May God bless you and help you to know the true meaning of Christmas,' the anonymous letter said.

But Rowland says that her dragon decorations have been a hit at Christmas for  the past four years, and passersby often stop to take photos of her unique set-up.

And she wasn't going to stop on account of one angry neighbor.

'I chortled, and then ran to my daughter and said, "Look at this, we got hate mail!" I did consider removing them for about a nanosecond, and then went, "Nope,"' Rowland said to Buzzfeed.

So she posted the rude letter on Twitter writing: 'Our dragon holiday display got fan mail! (And apparently the "true meaning of Christmas" involved judgemental bulls***?)'

In retaliation, she added two more dragons to her front lawn and halos to their heads to make them angels.

She hilariously posted a pic of her new additions on Facebook and cited Ezekiel 1:1-28 in the Bible, which details the prophet Ezekiel's vision of dragon-like creatures with wings.

'An update to yesterday's tweet re the letter I received from an anonymous, judgy-mcjudgyface neighbor who disapproved of my dragon display and asked me to consider removing them: I have added more dragons,' she tweeted on Saturday.

Her tweets about the hilarious feud with her neighbor instantly went viral on Twitter racking up 105,000 likes.

'It’s got more reactions than I ever expected. I think this obviously resonated with a lot of people. I think there are a lot of people who have experiences with bad neighbors,' she said.

'I think [the person who sent the note] misses the point about what Christmas is. Christmas is about joy. That’s what it boils down to,' she said, adding she's refusing donations for her to buy more dragons, saying the money is better off sent to charity

Fans even asked to if they could fundraise money or send cash so she could buy even more dragons to add to her collection.

She politely declined on Sunday saying 'I would much rather any Dragon Army money be donated to a worthy charity of your choice! Let's make this holiday season about joy and charity for all'.

One fan generously donated money to fostering abandoned penguin chicks in South Africa.

'I make a good living. I can buy my own dragons,' she said.

She added: 'There’s a line between getting back at a jerky neighbor and being a jerky neighbor. Stand your ground, but don’t be an a**hole.'

'I think [the person who sent the note] misses the point about what Christmas is. Christmas is about joy. That’s what it boils down to. If you’re a Christian, you’re feeling joy about the birth of Christ. We should all be looking for things to be joyful about,' she said.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
