«Breaking News» Images released of George H.W. Bush's private burial service

New images show former President George H.W. Bush being laid to rest next to his wife Barbara and daughter Robin in a private ceremony at Texas A&M University.

Thursday's small and intimate service concluded days of public mourning for the 41st president who lay in state at the U.S. Capitol and had funerals at Washington's National Cathedral and the Houston church where his family worshiped.

Bush's daughter Doro was presented with the American flag that had draped her father's coffin as it made its way from Houston to his namesake library in College Station on a specially adapted presidential train, waved on my thousands of supporters who flocked to the railway line to pay their final respects.

In a moving photo from his final burial, a military officer gets down on one knee to present Doro Bush with the flag.

Earlier that afternoon, George H. W. Bush's coffin had arrived at the university in a motorcade from the train.

His Secret Service agents and sons and grandsons were among the honorary pallbearers as his coffin was carried by members of the military.

Bush's spokesman Jim McGrath shared photos of Bush's children, including his son former president George W. Bush, and presidential candidate Jeb Bush, walking behind the coffin, past a quote from the former president inscribed onto the walls of the library, to the burial plot where he was laid to rest beside his beloved wife Barbara and daughter Robin who died of leukemia aged 3.

The U.S. Secret Service ended its detail for Bush after nearly 40 years of protecting the former president, who was known by the code name 'Timberwolf', sharing a statement that their watch officially ended at 6 a.m. Friday 'with no incidents to report' following Bush's burial Thursday at his presidential library at Texas A&M University.

In its final notification, the Bush Protective Division said: 'You will be missed by all of us.'

Texans turned out all along the 70-mile route to pay tribute to Bush, whose flag-draped casket was borne in a glass-sided train car pulled by Union Pacific locomotive 4141.

For nearly three hours, crowds waved US and Texas flags, placed their hands on their hearts, saluted and took photographs and video, while firetrucks hoisted large flags on bridges over the tracks.

American flags were hung on buildings and a large sign read: 'President George H.W. Bush Thank You For A Lifetime Of Service.'

The 41st president's son George W. Bush and his wife Laura, along with other members of the Bush family, watched somberly as a military honor guard carried his casket off the train.

His flag-draped casket was wrapped with a plastic cover due to the rainy conditions.

Bush's arrival came after an emotional service at St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston on Thursday morning.

His body was then transported via the presidential train to the presidential library where he was laid to rest at a private ceremony.

Following the service, a hearse took the late president to the Union Pacific train station in Spring, Texas, where a special funeral train, with a locomotive painted in the colors of Air Force One and named 4141, journeyed two and a half hours to College Station.

The train's sixth car, a converted baggage hauler called 'Council Bluffs,' was fitted with transparent sides to allow mourners lining the tracks views of Bush's flag draped coffin.

The 41st president's son George W. Bush was so moved by the thousands of Texans who braved the gloomy weather to pay their respects to the former president that he posted a photo of himself waving to the crowds, writing: 'Thank you for making 41's last ride so special.'

Bush was then taken to his presidential library at the university, where he was laid to rest at a private ceremony next to his wife, Barbara, who died in April, and his daughter Robin, who died at age three in 1953.

About 2,100 cadets in their tan dress uniforms with jackets and ties and knee-high boots waited for hours on the cold, gray day to line the road -known as Barbara Bush Drive - to the Bush library's front doors.

The US Navy conducted a 21 strike fighter flyover, a salute to the World War II Navy pilot, followed by a 21-gun cannon salute on the ground.

The flyover was performed as an honor guard, close friends and relatives accompanied Bush's casket to his family's burial plot.

Bush's family, who left St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston following a funeral that was attended by about 1,200 mourners, were joined by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bush's longtime friend James A. Baker, country singer Reba McEntire, The Oak Ridge Boys, football player J.J. Watts and basketball player Yao Ming.

Baker choked up as he delivered a moving tribute to his friend, saying 'he's been my friend and he's been my role model.'

Baker served Bush as White House chief of staff and secretary of state.

Bush, who died last week at his Houston home at age 94, was eulogized Wednesday at a funeral service at the National Cathedral. By evening, his casket was at St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston.

Bush's death reduces membership in the ex-presidents' club to four: Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
