A heroin-addicted couple who turned their council flat into a 'bomb-making factory' have been jailed.
Edward Harris, 27, and his partner Natalie Parsons, 51, from Cardiff, were found with eight grams of triacetone triperoxide (TATP) in their fridge - which was the same explosives used in the deadly Manchester Arena attack.
Police raided the couple's house in Cardiff on August 29 this year after receiving a tip-off about the explosives, which were found in a plastic food bag in a fridge.

A search through the house found a jar containing hexamethylene triperoxide diamine (HMTD), the same explosives used in the 7/7 bombings, in the garden shed, along with a pipe bomb in the garden.
Swabs taken by police showed that Harris had been handling nitrate-based explosives, while Parsons had handled the TATP.
At an Old Bailey hearing, Mr Justice Sweeney sentenced Harris to five years in jail plus two years on extended licence and Parsons to two years in prison.
Sentencing the pair, Harris said the property had more resemblance to a 'bomb-making factory than a residential property'.
The judge told him: 'Your persistent collection of chemicals and interest in explosives; your making of very dangerous high explosives and your willingness to be involved with others; and the content of the psychiatric report, have together led me to the sure conclusion that you are a dangerous offender.'
Harris, who was said to have 'aspects of autism spectrum disorder' stared at the judge, raised a fist and said: 'Piece of f****** s***. I hope you get rectal cancer.'

The 27-year-old, who was the former director of a company involved in the 'research and experimental development of biotechnology', had claimed the explosives were for 'scientific experimentation'.
The court heard that Harris had told the arresting officers: 'There is something in the fridge. When you set it alight it goes poof. I'm in the s**t aren't I? I only made it for someone else.'
Mark Carroll, prosecuting, said the Crown were in 'difficulties to prove a motivation' and material on Harris's phone at first pointed towards an 'anti-capitalist mindset.'
Parsons told her probation officer Harris made the explosives to give to their drug dealer so she would clear their debts to him.
Mr Carroll said: 'If this version of events had not been proffered by Miss Parsons after Mr Harris had been charged the Crown would not be aware of it
At the Old Bailey, Harris admitted giving firecrackers to a drug dealer called 'Karim' but denied he planned to give him TATP.
Harris said he found the bomb-making manuals when scrolling through Amazon.
He said: 'I went on the internet and started looking up these manuals you can get.
'I thought they were legal because they were on Amazon.
'It was relatively easy, simple. I went to the pharmacy. To be perfectly honest with you, I didn't think it would work.'
When asked if he realised he was putting Miss Parson's two children at risk, he said: 'I was on quite a decent dose of heroin at the time. Although it was stored correctly I do accept there was a substantial risk.'
Police also found a jar containing hexamethylene triperoxide diamine (HMTD), the same explosives used in the 7/7 bombings, in the garden shed
Asked why he had told the police it was for someone else, Harris said: 'I hadn't slept for days, I could have said anything I'm afraid.'
His barrister, Heath Edwards, said Harris was addicted to drugs and alcohol and had autism, depression, anxiety and some kind of social phobia.
'He is a man who has a misguided fascination or curiosity with explosives and nothing more,' Mr Edwards said.
Ruth Smith, defending Parsons, said she accepted that she knew about Harris's 'interest', supported the interest, and 'at times acted as a lab partner.'
Detective Superintendent Jim Hall, head of the Welsh Extremism and Counter-Terrorism Unit (WECTU) said: 'The actions of both Harris and Parsons put both themselves, their neighbours and the public in great danger.
'The case is also a further reminder of the need to be ever-vigilant and I urge anyone who sees any suspicious activity or behaviour to ACT and report it to police.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
