«Breaking News» Armed police officers shoot man and arrest another during pre-planned operation in Wimbledon

A man has been shot by armed police officers during a pre-planned operation in south west London, the Metropolitan Police said. 

The incident happened at about 8:10am today in Lacock Close, Wimbledon.

The operation was conducted by officers from the Met’s anti-robbery Flying Squad and they were assisted by firearms colleagues.

During the course of the operation one man, whose age is not yet known, was shot by police.

Police have cordoned off the area, including Haydons Road (pictured), after incident that happened at 8.10am this morning

He has been taken by London Ambulance Service to a London hospital and his condition is not known.

A second man has been arrested for conspiracy to rob.

The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards have been informed, police said.

A number of roads in the area, including Haydons Road, have been closed and a forensic scene is in place.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct has launched an independent investigation.

Officers from the Met’s Flying Squad were assisted by firearms officers during the incident and police remain on the scene (pictured) this morning

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
