«Breaking News» Reebok charging ten times more for Victoira Beckham collection

Fitness fans were eager to get their hands on Reebok's latest collaboration with none other than Victoria Beckham when it launched earlier this week.

But with some items selling out within days of the collection's launch and others reaching price tags of £350 - it seems that some customers will be left disappointed.

However, VB fans fear not as Reebok appears to be stocking near-identical pieces in its own-brand line of fitness wear.

Not only are the pieces extremely similar to those seen in the designer collaboration they also come in at a fraction of the price.

Victoria Beckham launched her collaboration with Reebok earlier this week with prices ranging from £24.95 for trainer socks to £349.95 for a bomber jacket

Orange is one of the signature shades in Beckham's workout collection and those looking for a statement t-shirt in that shade can expect to pay £62.95.

But if you are prepared to opt for an own-brand piece in an identical shade, £14.98 (sale price) will leave less of a dent in your account.

One of the priciest pieces in the designer collection is an oversize backpack, just shy of £250.

But Reebok's Classic Laptop Sleeve backpack is not world's away from the former Spice Girl's designs and comes in at almost tenth of the price at £27.95.

However, many of the VB pieces appear very similar to Reebok own-brand items, but cost much more. Pictured: A cotton beanie costing £12.95

Perhaps the most shocking price difference is between two beanie hats.

The Victoria Beckham take, a black knitted hat emblazoned with her logo, will set shoppers back £99.95.

But swap the logo for a Reebok one and slice your bill down to £12.95, though this one is made of cotton-yarn while the VB design is a cashmere mix.

Speaking to the MailOnline a spokesperson for Reebok said: 'The Reebok x Victoria Beckham collection differs from standard athleisure or sportswear products because every single element of the range is elevated, with extremely premium fabrics, fits, silhouettes and finishes.

'The collection utilizes fabrics that haven't been used in our products before, and both Reebok and Victoria were adamant about using the highest quality materials.

'Additionally, the process by which each item is manufactured – from the mills, yarns, and factories to construction and finishing ensures that each Reebok x Victoria Beckham piece is premium from a fashion standpoint.'

Speaking of her collection Beckham said : It's part of who I am now, and I really enjoy it.

'That was a big part of why I wanted to work with Reebok... I had very specific ideas about the workout clothes that I wanted to wear and couldn't find'.

She went on: 'I work out every day when I'm at home, and then when I travel I really focus on work so I can get as much done as possible in a short trip and get home.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
