«Breaking News» Olivia Buckland spoiled by husband Alex with £1,000-a-night suite and Lion King tickets on birthday

She married Alex Bowen in a lavish Essex wedding last year. 

And Olivia Buckland was spoilt rotten by her new husband as she celebrated her 25th birthday on Friday.  

The Love Island star was treated by Alex, 27, to two nights at the Shard's iconic Shangri-La Hotel, with the hunk splashing out more than £2,000 for a luxurious suite overlooking London's skyline.

Olivia couldn't resist taking a steamy bath snap as she looked out over the suite's panoramic views of the capital. 

Posing topless in the porcelain free-standing bath and clutching a glass of prosecco, she captioned the risque post: 'City lights from my bath tub'. 

The reality star, who met Alex on Love Island back in 2016, documented her stay on Instagram as she was treated to cocktails, room service and tickets to see West End hit musical, the Lion King.

Olivia then proceeded to share a clip of Alex delightedly skipping into the hotel as well as a room tour of the iconic Shard suite, which retails for more than £1,000 a night. 

She showed off the Shangri-La Bed with 600 thread count Frette linens, a snazzy Japanese loo, while Alex stood by the window taking in the stunning views of London's iconic landmarks.

Alex's grand gesture comes after they wed in Essex in September in an idyllic ceremony held at Gosfield Hall in front of their family and famous friends.

Earlier this month, Olivia recalled her big day in an exclusive interview with MailOnline and insisted she has 'no regrets' over the boozy antics that followed after the pair's romantic ceremony.

Her husband Alex revealed the couple were 'drunk' in their wedding pictures that were printed in OK! magazine, with Olivia insisting 'there's nothing better than a drunk bride'.

She told MailOnline: 'I didn't want it to end! I wish I'd had a two day wedding... it's just having fun and letting your hair down. 

'We're so used to seeing all these perfect pictures of the couples on the front of OK! and for once there was a couple, a little bit dishevelled, having a great time and we loved that.'

Olivia confessed: 'I haven't looked at the dress since the wedding as we went on the honeymoon like two days later. I kicked my heels off and put on my trainers and was just dancing around and that was the best way. I threw the dress over my shoulder.'

Looking back on the day, she said: 'It feels like a lifetime ago now and I never imagined I could have a wedding like that...

'Me and Alex love a party, all our friends were there, it was just a massive party. It did go exactly to plan which was weird as there's always a drama.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
