«Breaking News» Leaked video claims to show Xiaomi's radical folding phone with THREE screens

Folding phones are shaping up to have a big year in 2019.

A new video obtained by noted leaker Evan Blass claims to show Xiaomi's yet-to-be-released smartphone featuring a bendable screen that folds out into three panels.

When users no longer want it to be a tablet, the phone's outer panels handily fold into themselves, transforming the device into a standard-sized smartphone.

The Chinese tech company isn't the first to turn folding phones into a reality.

Samsung in November took the wraps off of its smartphone with a wraparound 'Infinity Flex Display,' while LG and Huawei are said to be developing their own folding phone prototypes.

The video gives the most detailed look at Xiaomi's upcoming device yet.

In it, a user can be seen scrolling through Google Maps on an extra-large screen that stretches across three panels.

These panels then fold backward to make the device more compact.

This design differs from foldable models developed by Samsung and ZTE, which turns into a tablet by folding one panel out to create two panels intersected by a bezel in the middle.

Blass noted in a tweet accompanying the video that it's unclear whether or not the device is actually made by Xiaomi.

However, speculation has been building for several years that the company was planning to launch a foldable phone.

In 2016, Xiaomi released a video of a bendable screen prototype and, as Engadget pointed out, the firm tends to get ahead of emerging smartphone trends.

Xiaomi released a nearly all-screen phone design with the Mi Mix long before other smartphonemakers did the same.

Once it does hit the shelves, it'll likely face some competition with Samsung's own folding model.

The unnamed device features a small screen on the outside of the phone and another, larger display that reveals itself once the device is unfolded.

Samsung says the 7.3-inch screen can be folded 'hundreds of thousands of times' thanks to the display's thinness and flexibility.

'Users now have the best of both worlds: a compact smartphone that unfolds to reveal a larger immersive display for multitasking and viewing content,' Samsung explained.

Justin Denison, Samsung's senior vice president of mobile product marketing, unveiled the firm's first folding phone onstage at the 2018 Developer Conference in San Francisco. It features a 7.3-inch screen that can transform into a phone or tablet

'The app experience seamlessly transitions from the smaller display to the larger display as the device unfolds.

'In addition, users can browse, watch, connect and multitask without losing a beat, simultaneously using three active apps on the larger display,' the firm added.

Samsung said in November that its folding phone should become available 'in the coming months.'

The screen has a protective layer, giving it the same finish as a photograph, that's both flexible and tough.

The display is 45 percent thinner than Samsung's other smartphone models.

On top of that, Samsung says it has some other high-tech screen technology up its sleeve.

It's also working on rollable and stretchable displays - though it's unclear when these will come to fruition.

When users open the phone, their apps move seamlessly from the outside of the device to the interior screen.

Users can have up to three apps running at once on the tablet-sized screen, which Samsung calls its 'Multi-active window' feature.

It's expected to hit the shelves sometime in 2019.

Link hienalouca.com Interesting to note Looking for an investor or sponsor for a project to grow dinosaurs and relict plants. Requires the sum of investments from 400000$ to 900000$. The exact amount can not say because there are many nuances. It will be necessary to build a small laboratory with certain parameters. To all interested persons please write on an email angocman@gmail.com . It is the scientific project and I do not know whether it is possible to earn on it. The probability of success of the project is approximately 60%. That will be very interesting.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
