«Breaking News» Ferne McCann 'quizzed by police for throwing a drink at Adam Collard'

Ferne McCann was spoken to by police for hurling a boozy beverage in Adam Collard's face at the NTAs hosted at London's O2 on Tuesday.

The Love Island hunk, 23, branded the TOWIE beauty, 28, a ‘pathetic little s**g’ after he reportedly overheard her bad mouthing his girlfriend Zara McDermott, 21.

Their war of words escalated when Ferne tossed her drink and later her plastic cup in Adam's face at the climax of the explosive showdown.

An eyewitness at the event shared with MailOnline that Ferne was not being 'investigated' by police as they added: 'However, she did throw a drink because Adam didn't just call her a "sl*g", he went on a full tirade. 

'Ferne was desperately upset by it.

'All the reality stars were watching. There were three people from Love Island, two ex TOWIE personalities and two Made In Chelsea stars on the scene.'

Zara and Ferne's bad blood stems back to last year; Zara had publicly slammed Ferne for slipping into Charlie Brake's DMs while he was dating her friend Ellie Brown.

While Ferne has coyly discussed her passing flirtation with the millionaire, she has vehemently denied getting in touch with the hunk while he was romancing Ellie.

Their catty spat grabbed the attention of headlines late last year and now it has resurfaced as the pair suffered an awkward run-in at the bash.

Another source told MailOnline: ‘There’s a bit of history with Zara because Zara previously stuck up for her BFF Ellie when she was feuding with Ferne McCann over her now-ex boyfriend Charlie.

‘It stems back to that. Ferne has given Zara a bit of mouth at the NTAs. Adam doesn’t deny he called her a "pathetic little sl*g". 

'He was sticking up for his girlfriend, they had a heated exchange.' 

It is claimed Adam does regret what was said, although the personal trainer wasn't expecting to have a drink thrown in his face for his scathing comments. 

An insider told The Sun: 'It all kicked off massively outside the official after party. 

'There has been bad blood between the girls because Ferne got together with Charlie Brake just weeks after splitting with Zara’s mate Ellie Brown.

'But things really escalated last night when Adam heard Ferne slagging off Zara. He said some things he regrets but did not expect under any circumstances to have a drink thrown in his face then have it smashed against him.'

MET police said in a statement: 'An allegation of common assault was made to police by a man, aged in his 20s, following an incident with a woman, also aged in her 20s, at the O2 Arena on Tuesday, 22 January. 

'No one was injured during the incident. There has been no arrest. Enquiries continue.'

MailOnline has reached out to Ferne McCann and Adam Collard's respective representatives for comment.

Ferne previously declared war on Zara as the mum-of-one hit out at claims she was making a move on Charlie while he was still Ellie's man.

She told OK! magazine: 'I was really taken aback by that because I would never message someone else’s boyfriend, that is not my style. I don’t know where she got it from, all I can think is that she’s referring to the picture he sent us together back in 2015, but that was completely harmless and not flirtatious at all. 

'It was a really careless thing of Zara to say. I’m too busy being a good mum to message someone who’s in a relationship.

'We certainly aren’t in a relationship, which is what was reported. We went on a night out with some mutual friends and it was really fun. There was definitely some flirting going on but I don’t know what’s going to happen in the future, or if we’ll go on a date.'

Zara previously told The Sun: 'I think that there may have been some DM sliding before when Ellie and Charlie were still together, she knew from like, months ago.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
