Sir Mick Jagger, who has fathered eight children by five different women, can scarcely be accused of lacking energy.
But, at the age of 75, the rock legend appears ready for a gentler kind of mood music: he is, I can disclose, collaborating on his debut ballet with his girlfriend, American ballerina Melanie Hamrick, 32, who is the mother of his youngest son, two-year-old Deveraux.
The collaboration will ensure that the couple — currently on holiday for the festive season with Deveraux — play to their respective strengths.

Hamrick, whose most recent stage appearance was in a New York production of The Nutcracker, is choreographing the work, the first ballet she has staged, and is said to have taken a leave of absence from the American Ballet Theatre until the spring to ensure she does it justice.
Jagger’s influence will permeate the production — and not just because Hamrick has set it to various Rolling Stones’ classics, including She’s A Rainbow, Paint It Black and You Can’t Always Get What You Want.
His role is not limited to mere musical inspiration, as he is said to be ‘curating’ and ‘editing’ Hamrick’s work.
Just as well he is leaving the pirouettes to the professionals, given that he’s previously spoken dismissively of his own explosive stage performances, commenting: ‘I just leap about, and sometimes it’s very ungainly.’ The as-yet-untitled production is set for its world premiere in an appropriately exquisite classical setting — in Russia, in March, at the Mariinsky Theatre ballet festival in St Petersburg.

The following month, it will enjoy an American premiere in similar splendour, at the Lincoln Center in New York.
The U.S. scheduling dovetails helpfully with the rock star’s day job: the Rolling Stones’ 13-show No Filter tour is due to start the same month at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
Which suggests that on this occasion, Jagger — as is so frequently the case — is getting exactly what he wants.

In a newly unearthed photo, the actress, now 35, is seen coming third in a national singing contest held at Earls Court. Beaming confidently with her short haircut and holding her runners-up certificate, Emily stands beside her song-writing partner Paloma Trigas, a fellow pupil at Ibstock Place School in South London.
‘We were best friends, always doing musical things together,’ recalls Paloma. ‘We wrote a lot of songs together, either during break times or at each other’s houses after school.’
Photographer David Bailey, who has snapped everyone from The Queen to The Beatles, doesn’t care for fame.
‘People sometimes get starstruck when they meet me,’ says the 80-year-old. ‘But there’s no one that has that effect on me because everyone is the same, everyone is equal, and I treat them that way.’

Chef Heston ‘owes his staff £500,000’
MICHELIN-starred chef Heston Blumenthal, owner of The Fat Duck in Berkshire, has left a sour taste in Australia where he owns a Melbourne restaurant, Dinner by Heston.
The 52-year-old creator of parsnip cereal and snail porridge has been accused of underpaying senior chefs there by up to £16,500 — £500,000 in total — by failing to recompense them for hundreds of hours of overtime. Australia’s Fair Work Ombudsman says it is ‘conducting inquiries’ into the matter.
So, too, is Heston, whose spokesman has issued a statement saying that, though the company does not think anything is amiss, it is carrying out a full audit ‘in the interests of complete transparency’.

‘I bought the most wonderful view of Cornwall by Harold Knight for £20,000,’ he tells me. ‘My wife was very, very keen on it. We’ve always loved Cornwall but can’t really find a way of getting there, so this is like looking at it through the window.’

I can reveal that the 39-year-old founder of art auction house Paddle 8 spent Christmas with the 31-year-old blonde (left) at her home in the U.S.
Gilkes, who was married to Meghan Markle’s best friend, fashion designer Misha Nonoo, for four years until 2016, revealed in an online photograph that they had matching stockings on the day ‘with our names embroidered on the side to avoid any intentional swapping’.
What a smashing idea...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
