Flop: Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly's new comedic film adaptation of the popular Sherlock Holmes franchise hit theaters across the United States on December 25
The film's announcement initially caused a stir among Ferrell's fans as it found him reuniting with his Step Brothers co-star Reilly.
But many of those who actually turned up to the theater since its release have walked out before the flick's end and have taken to social media to express their disappointment.
Twitter user @soapiermedusa, offered up, 'Here's a tip to save you a few bocks. #HolmesAndWatson don't see it. It was so bad. Half the theater walked out during it. And I love Will Ferrell but this one was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.'
@Coach_Devaney wrote, '@HolmesAndWatson is an absolute disaster. Had to wake up 3 other family members 40 minutes in just to walk out. Possibly overtakes Ishtar as worse movie of all time! Don't waste your @ or time!'

Adaptations of the Sherlock Holmes series have been popular since cinema became a popular art form, with multiples versions of the classic detective saga appearing over the last decade.
Benedict Cumberbatch and Robert Downey Jr. have both appeared in the title role in recent years, with Martin Freeman and Jude Law respectively playing the brilliant detective's physician foil, making the characters ripe for satire.
Unfortunately for Ferrell and Riley, critic aren't finding humor in their adaptation either, with Rolling Stone saying that Holmes and Watson 'is so painfully unfunny we're not sure it can legally be called a comedy.'
Another reviewer, Danielle Solzman, tweeted, 'I should have waited before putting up the worst films of the year because #HolmesAndWatson was one epic pile of cinematic disgrace and an insult to the legacy of Sherlock Holmes.'

Sherlock Holmes was created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and first appeared in 1887's A Study in Scarlet.
Sherlock is considered the most prolific screen character in the history of cinema and his first known film appearance is in Sherlock Holmes Baffled, a one-reel film running less than a minute.
In May, Warner Bros. announced the Downey and Jude Law would be starring in their third film in their popular series about the detective.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
