«Breaking News» Tess Daly urges viewers to vote for Ashley Roberts in 'closest ever Strictly final'

Tess Daly has urged viewers not to boycott voting for former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, 37, ahead of Saturday night's final of Strictly Come Dancing

The presenter, 49, asked said she hopes the singer sheds 'no more tears' after being in the bottom two for three weeks in a row, despite topping the judge's leaderboard.

Her comments come as former Strictly pro James Jordan said the blonde beauty had taken 'so much stick' due to her former dance training and Strictly had 'allowed it to happen'.

Speaking to the Sun Online Tess urged viewers to vote for Ashley and added it was 'close at the top'.

'It's going to be an interesting show on Saturday - it's going to be competitive, it's going to be unmissable' she said.

The host, who has been at the show's helm for 14 years, likened the competitors to athletes as she said the final four -  Ashley, Joe Sugg, Stacey Dooley, and Faye Tozer, - are training for '70 hours a week'.

Meanwhile, James Jordan slammed the BBC ratings juggernaut for not defending Ashley for the backlash she has received.

The dancer, 40,  who is competing on Dancing On Ice in the new year, told the Sun 'I think Stacey will win but I think Ashley should win. She is the best dancer.

'She's had so much stick and Strictly allowed that to happen. There are other people in the show this year and previous years who've had just as much experience in dance.'

Camaraderie: Tess commented the show's contestants have been closer than ever this year, as the final four shared an adorably selfie on set

The hunk added he felt sorry for the star knowing she is going into the final with 'no chance of winning' and that former Steps star Faye Tozer had 'just as much experience' with no backlash.

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Strictly Come Dancing for comment.

It comes as the show has been hit once again with 'fix' rumours as Joe Sugg's die-hard fans revealed a way they can vote for him to win, even if they don't live in the UK.

The BBC's terms and conditions means only UK viewers, and those in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man, are eligible to vote for the Strictly finalists, from a landline, their mobile or through the BBC's site.

But an Instagram fan account devoted to the YouTuber, 27, has revealed a loophole allowing fans to vote for the star even if they live abroad.

The account, which has more than 2,000 followers, was said to have encouraged fans abroad to 'trick' the BBC website into believing they are in the UK so they can vote for Joe and dance partner Dianne Buswell, 29, reports The Mirror

In a four step instruction photo, shared on the social media site, the account is said to have posted: 'How to vote if you're not in the UK.'

This would mean that if successful, anyone watching outside the UK would be able to vote for the Strictly finalists, if they have registered as a BBC user.

The fan account is then said to have encouraged other followers to share the loophole, and then reportedly screengrabbed accounts  which had done so, and thanked them.

There is no suggestion that Joe or Dianne were aware of this post.

The show's semi-final saw Ashley Roberts and Pasha Kovalev joint-top with Faye Tozer and Giovanni Pernice with 76 points each.

Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton were in second with 75 points.

Joe and Dianne were third on the leaderboard with 59 points.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
