Strictly Come Dancing's head judge Shirley Ballas has defended singer Ashley Roberts, insisting her dance background does not give her an unfair advantage on the show.
Shirley and her co-judges saved Ashley and her partner Pasha Kovalev on Sunday night for the third time, after the public voted them into the dance off a week before the final.
Speaking on Monday's Loose Women, Shirley insisted Ashley has to put in the same amount of work as the other finalists, despite her previous dance training.

While Ashley danced as part of the Pussycat Dolls, Shirley pointed out to the Loose Women: 'She is not a pro ballroom or Latin dancer. She has had to learn the ropes like everyone else.'
Shirley insisted Ashley has to put in 'hours and hours,' but did concede that like Steps star Faye Tozer, she 'has a musical ear.'
Shirley continued: 'I think that's why we have this kind of show. Everybody brings something different to the table– entertainment, musicality, lifts, this that and the other. Everybody has a journey and at the end of the day it will be down to the public to pick the winner.'

Ashley was in her third dance off in a row on Sunday after the public failed to vote her through.
Once again, the star, who has faced criticism for her past dance experience, was saved by the judges, who sent Paraolympian Lauren Steadman home.
Viewers have been quick to label Ashley as a 'trained dancer' for her experience in American girl group, The Pussycat Dolls.

But the 37-year-old isn't the only contestant with professional dance experience as according to the CV of former Steps star Faye Tozer, she is trained in a whopping 12 types of dance.
The former West End performer, 43, claims to be skilled in styles including Bollywood, Salsa, Jazz and Folk, as well as being a fully trained choreographer.
In addition to this, Faye has been in many stage shows, such as Singin' in the Rain, Over the Rainbow and Tell Me on a Sunday.

Hilarious: Shirley also spoke with Basil Brush - who appeared as a surprise guest on the show
Yet while Ashley and her partner Pasha have been in the ballroom's dance-off for the last three weeks, Faye remains a popular contender.
The public's reaction to the former I'm A Celeb campmate has been so scathing that host Tess Daly last week defended the Don't Cha hitmaker.
'I think cut her a little slack, she's an absolute sweetheart and doesn't deserve that,' the presenter told Metro.co.uk.

She added: 'I actually feel sorry for Ashley because she was in tears on Sunday night, when she was in the bottom two.'
The remaining four couples will return for the last time for the final next weekend, where it will be down to the viewers alone to decide who wins.
Each couple will perform three dances in the hope of being crowned the Strictly Come Dancing champions of 2018.
Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One Saturday 15th December at 6.30pm.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
