But there was one VIP guest newlywed Priyanka Chopra was keen to thank on Wednesday as her wedding celebrations to Nick Jonas came to an end.

Sharing a photo from her Tuesday reception in New Delhi, Priyanka gushed a 'heartfelt thank you' to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for 'gracing us with your presence.'

Priyanka posted a photo of herself and new husband Nick laughing with the PM during the elaborate reception.

The bride, who wowed in a gold gown, wrote alongside the happy snap: 'A heartfelt thank you to our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri ji for gracing us with your presence. Touched by your kind words and blessings @nickjonas.'

'Congratulations @priyankachopra and @nickjonas. Wishing you a happy married life,' he wrote as he shared the snap with his 15.4m followers. 

The PM's gift to the couple was two roses, the same present he gave cricketer Virat Kohli and his film star wife Anushka Sharma at their Delhi reception last year, according to Indian outlets including DNA and Times Now.

Incidentally, Priyanka and Nick chose the same reception venue as Anushka and Virat - the Taj Palace Hotel in the capital's well-heeled diplomatic enclave Chanakyapuri.

Hello! Magazine unveiled the couple's first official wedding photos, showing the happy couple are their two different ceremonies in Jodhpur.

The Christian ceremony, which took part on Saturday, saw the bride walk down the aisle in a custom Ralph Lauren gown, which took a total of 1,826 hours to complete and featured two million mother of pearl sequins, with her groom, 26, matching in a suit from the same US designer.

A day later Priyanaka, stunned in a deep red lehenga - a traditional Indian outfit by noted designer Sabyasachi Mukherji, adding Western-inspired twists.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
