«Breaking News» Priyanka Chopra manages to eclipse her pal Meghan Markle with her own three-day palatial nuptials

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' three-day wedding came to a spectacular climax on Sunday with a Hindu ceremony in a palace, featuring a heavily decorated elephant.

The Quantico actress was spotted, along with her family, arriving at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India, on Sunday. 

The Bollywood star, 36, was reportedly wearing an outfit by the highly regarded designer Sabyasachi Mukherji, as she waited on the front steps of the spectacular building, which is one of the world's largest private residences.

Jonas had promised to make a spectacular entrance so it's likely the elephant is being readied to carry him to the ceremony.  

The spectacular palace venue has 347 rooms and is the principal residence of the former Jodhpur royal family, and eclipses St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle - where Priyanka was a guest of her pal Meghan Markle earlier this year. 

The property is partly run as a hotel by the Taj Group, and was recently awarded as the World's Best Hotel at the Traveller's Choice Awards.

A one night stay in the Grand Presidential suite can cost more than $7,000, according to the hotel website.

The mansion palace was named after Maharaja Umaid Singh, who was Maharaja of Jodhpur from 1918 to his death.

It's India's last living palace and comes complete with 65 original Art Deco bedrooms and suites.

The couple exchanged vows in a Christian ceremony on Saturday, wearing custom-made Ralph Lauren clothes, and later shared pictures on their social media of a pre-wedding ritual, the mehendi ceremony, which involves applying henna on the bride's hands as a good omen.

'One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each others' faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing,' the bride wrote on her Instagram account.

The pictures showed the couple laughing and surrounded by family and friends, as an artisan applied henna on Chopra's palms.

On Sunday, Chopra shared a picture and a two-second video of a cricket match, captioning it 'team bride vs team groom #cricket'. 

At another pre-wedding function, guests and the bride and groom danced to Bollywood songs, including some of Chopra's biggest hits.

Celebrities have arrived to watch the nuptials, and on Saturday actress Elizabeth Chambers was seen arriving at Jodhpur airport in India with her sweet four-year-old daughter Harper for the impending nuptials of her pals. 

The wife of Armie Hammer's arrival comes hot on the heels of invitees making the most of their time on social media to showcase the glamorous lead-up to the weekend of ceremonies, as it has now been revealed that mobile phones and cameras are strictly prohibited inside the luxurious Umaid Bhawan Palace. 

Clad in a mustard coloured coat and black jeans, Elizabeth looked in high spirits as she cradled her adorable girl while making her way through the crowds outside the airport.

However, social media activity via Priyanka and Nick's excited guests continue to show the grandeur of her impending nuptials at the luxurious Umaid Bhawan Palace, which will span across three days and include both a traditional Indian service and a Christian ceremony. 

Although it is normally the bride that makes a show-stopping entrance, Nick admitted during an interview with Vogue that he will be following Indian custom and arriving on horseback 'dressed like a king', wearing a turban and holding a sword. 

During the interview, Priyanka suddenly thought to check that her fiance was comfortable riding horses, but he was quick to reassure her that he couldn't wait to make his grand arrival. 

During the service Nick and Priyanka will symbolise each of the seven lifetimes they will spend together by walking around a roaring fire seven times.

One of the most intimate touches that has been divulged is that the Christian ceremony was to be taken by Nick's pastor father Paul, the ceremonies will be held in different locations across Rajasthan. 

Chopra and 26-year-old Jonas were engaged earlier this year after a whirlwind courtship that began at an Oscars after-party last year.

Chopra, who headlined three seasons of the ABC crime drama Quantico, is one of Bollywood's biggest female leads with acting credits in several big-ticket films.

Nick and his brothers Kevin and Joe formed a pop-rock band, The Jonas Brothers, in 2005 and soared to fame as members of Disney's stable of teenage stars. The band split up in 2013. 

Priyanka's best friend, The Duchess Of Sussex, chose not to travel to India due to her pregnancy.

The pair have been friends since January 2016 when they met at the Elle Women in Television event and hit it off from there.

'Priyanka is unbelievable,' Meghan told the Press Trust Of India in July that same year.

'She has become a really good friend. ELLE in the US hosted a dinner celebrating Women in TV, and we met that night - turns out she really likes Suits.'

Priyanka's parents, father Ashok and mother Madhu, were both physicians in the Indian Army. Priyanka's father sadly passed away in 2013. The family is considered by many to be the most powerful family in the Hindi movie industry.

Meanwhile, Denise Jonas, Nick's mother, gifted her daughter-in-law Priynanka with a pair of earrings from French luxury jeweler Van Cleef & Arpels, which cost a whopping $79,500, according to The Bombay Times.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
