«Breaking News» Pictured: IT consultant husband accused of stabbing his wife

This is the first picture of a  senior IT consultant who has been charged with stabbing his wife to death during a Christmas row.

Laurens Brand, 47, is accused of attacking 41-year-old Angela Mittal at their home in Shinfield, Berkshire.

He was arrested on suspicion of murder after police found the mother-of-one’s body early on Boxing Day morning.

She had been stabbed repeatedly in the chest and neck. The couple’s young son is believed to have been asleep upstairs.

Mrs Mittal was a successful entrepreneur who worked as a life coach and fitness guru for clients across the Home Counties.

Her husband is a technical consultant for a Dutch company providing specialist IT services to international firms.

The pair posed with their 21-month-old son Nathanial as a ‘poster couple’ for their new home after purchasing it this year.

They said the newly-built property was ideal when they relocated from Rotterdam, as they did not want to spend time decorating.

Last night, Mrs Mittal’s parents declined to speak at their home in nearby Slough.

But in a statement released through Thames Valley Police, they said their daughter can never be replaced.

‘Angela was a kind and generous person who truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family and, most importantly, spending time and playing with her son,’ they said.

‘Angela had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. Angela lit up the room with a big smile on her face –always putting the needs of others before her.’

Police were called to the couple’s home at 5.30am on Boxing Day after a report of a disturbance.

Brand was arrested on suspicion of murder as forensic experts searched the home and removed evidence.

A tent was erected over the bright red front door of the home, which featured in the developer’s publicly shots.

A post-mortem examination by a Home Office pathologist revealed Mrs Mittal died as a result of stab wounds to her neck and chest.

Brand appeared before magistrates in Reading yesterday charged with murder.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Reading Crown Court on February 2.

Mrs Mittal, who used the surname Brand-Mittal in social media posts, married in 2006.

She regularly posted motivational videos of her solo workouts and group training with various groups online. In June, she wrote: ‘Never feel bad about getting older. It is a privilege denied to many.

‘And I know I shouldn’t moan and count myself lucky.’

According to one online profile, Brand, originally from Dordrecht in Holland, graduated from London’s Brunel University in 2001.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
