A University of Minnesota professor and climate change expert has been arrested after he choked his fiancée during an argument, cops say.

Aaron H. Doering, 47, violently strangled his fiancée and left her fearing for her life on Wednesday, according to criminal charges filed on Thursday.

He was arrested and charged with two felony counts of domestic assault by strangulation and is in Hennepin County jail on $40,000 bail.

When cops arrived to the Minneapolis home of the tenured professor and his fiancée, they found the two arguing and the victim with red marks on her forehead and bruises in the shape of fingers on one side of her neck, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

He dragged her through the apartment by her hair, beat her and choked her until she was unable to breath, according to the criminal complaint.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
