A hilarious video has captured the moment a little boy attempted to catch Santa Claus on camera - but was instead greeted with a rather unwelcome surprise.
Twitter user Intolisa, from Puerto Rico, revealed that her younger brother had set up his iPad under the tree in a bid to catch Father Christmas leaving presents underneath it.
However when he returned to the recording the following morning, he was greeted with a pile of dog's droppings - and the only thing caught on camera was the family's pet pooch using the tree as his festive lavatory.
The amusing video quickly went viral online with 1.2million views, racking up 430,000 likes and 134,00 retweets.

The video shows the little boy setting up his iPad under the tree, explaining: 'I'm going to be catching Santa on video today.
'It's Christmas Eve right now and there are already presents under the tree', he said, adding: 'Shh, that's mine to my mother... so let's get the video started'.
The video continued into the night, before their pet chihuahua entered the scene, sniffing around the tree before leaving a sizable deposit underneath it.

Posting another clip of the youngster's reaction, his older sister wrote: 'For everyone asking, this was his reaction to it LMAO'(sic).
The clip showed the little boy excitedly returning to the tree on Christmas morning, before discovering the treat left by his dog.
Returning to the camera, he said: 'What's up guys', pointing at the pile of poop, before adding: 'That- you're probably wondering what that is.
'I think you guys know. I'm going to post the video and see what actually happened.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
