«Breaking News» Killing Eve's Jodie Comer transforms into femme fatale Villanelle alongside Sandra Oh in Rome

She's won much critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic, following the debut of her role as femme fatale Villanelle on the hit show Killing Eve.

And Jodie Comer, 25, was seen getting back into character as she shot scenes for the widely popular drama's second season on the streets of Rome, Italy earlier this week alongside co-star Sandra Oh, 47.

The Liverpudlian actress cemented the serial killer's fashion icon status as she was pictured wearing a vibrant red coords for the shoot.

Jodie's fitted red top boasted three-quarter-length sleeves and highlighted her narrow midriff with a chic black waist belt.

The BBC darling's teamed her fitted garment with a pair of matching high-waisted flares, which highlighted her trim frame with aplomb as she filmed the show's latest plot line.

Completing her transformation into Villanelle, the Doctor Foster star donned a long, pink hued wig, which contrasted with her striking pillarbox red ensemble.

Complementing her co-star's stylish appearance, Sandra sported a navy short-sleeved shirt over a moss green ribbed turtle neck.

The Canadian actress, who was catapulted into the spotlight as Dr Cristina Yang on ABC's Grey Anatomy, paired her layered look with black trousers and swept her curly brunette tresses into a tousled ponytail.

In between scenes, the acting duo were captured having a lively conversation while Jodie took respite from wearing her long wig and held the hair piece in her hand.

The shoot gave little away about the status of their characters' relationship and whether they've managed to overcome Eve's assassination attempt on Villanelle.

It will be hard to predict what the brutal hired assassin, who is an orphan with a violent reputation, is thinking due to her being a psychopath who kills with flair.

And while Jodie filmed in the streets of London in October a huge spoiler became apparent as the actress stood before cameras with a co-star.

Fans of the show recently saw Jodie's assassin character Villanelle vengefully murder her old mentor Konstantin Vasiliev (Kim Bodnia).

But it now appears that all is not how it may have initially seemed, as Danish actor Kim, 53, was spotted shooting scenes for the acclaimed drama's second season alongside Jodie.

Jodie was seen chatting away with her co-star on set as they prepared to portray their respective characters, whose relationship crumbled after Konstantin doubled-crossed Villanelle — prompting her to calmly shoot him to death.

Killing Eve is an eight-part series about a bored, deskbound MI5 operative, Eve Polastri (Sandra) and glamorous Russian assassin Villanelle (Jodie).

Eve is assigned by her boss Carolyn (Fiona Shaw) to track the psychotic Villanelle and becomes obsessed with her target.

But when Villanelle realises she’s being watched she becomes equally fixated with Eve. The two begin a deadly cat-and-mouse game — falling in ‘espionage love’ as writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge puts it — that takes them all over Europe.

Much of the drama was shot around north London, but the cast have also travelled to Paris, Bucharest and Tuscany for scenes.

For the second season, whose release date has yet to be announced, castmembers are currently filming in Amsterdam, London and Paris.

While she's now found fame in both the US, where the show was first released almost six months ago, and the UK, Jodie still lives at home in middle-class Childwall, Liverpool, in the same red-brick semi she grew up in.

She shares the home with her mother Donna, 54, who works for a transport company; dad Jimmy, 53, a masseur, and younger brother Charlie, 23.

‘I’m a real homebird,’ Jodie said recently. ‘I honestly cannot imagine not living with my mum and dad. I like having these two worlds — I get to travel and visit cool places, but then go back to reality.’

Since become a runaway smash this year, the series was nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best TV Drama Series this week.

And the good fortunate didn't stop there as Sandra picked up a nomination for her turn as the British intelligence agent.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
