«Breaking News» Kate Beckinsale poses with ex Michael Sheen as he wears bunny onesie

Despite having ended their romantic relationship more than 15 years ago,  Kate Beckinsale and Michael Sheen have remained the friendliest of exes.

And the former couple showed showed off their shared sense of humour on Thursday, when Kate, 45, took to Instagram to share a shot of herself posing with 49-year-old Michael, who donned a white onesie complete with bunny ears.

As Masters Of Sex star Michael rested at the end of a couch, English beauty Kate was seen leaning on him while wearing a white top, black bottoms and towering ivory heels – but it was her accompanying saucy caption that got her followers' attention.

The actress wrote: 'So apparently there are two meanings of the word “perineum”, one being the area of the body between the genitals and anus, and the other, the period of time between Christmas and New Year’s Day.

'I thought I had been clear we were celebrating the second but Michael turned up in an impenetrable onesie just in case he was ambushed by an excitable relative.'

The Vacancy star Kate and Michael were in an eight-year relationship spanning from 1995 through 2003, beginning when they were doing the play The Seagull on tour.

They remain on good terms in co-parenting their 19-year-old daughter, Lily, having appeared together in multiple social media posts.

Last month, Kate, who split from director husband Len Wiseman in 2015, was seen kissing English comic Jack Whitehall, 30, in Los Angeles.

The Hollywood actress and Jack were seen in a steamy embrace as they partied the night away at the exclusive Blind Dragon nightclub.

During their date night, Kate was seen relaxing into Jack as he wrapped his arm around her lovingly to hold her close to him.

As the evening progressed, the pair put on a loved-up display as Jack placed a kiss on Kate's head in a loving way.

The actress was later seen lounging in front of him as they chatted to each other, before they gave each other a smooch.

Kate and Jake then fell into the throes of romance as they shared a passionate kiss, and the actress could be seen draping one arm across his shoulder as she placed her other hand on his chest.

Earlier that night, the pair dined at celeb hotspot Craig's in West Hollywood, but left separately – likely to avoid being photographed together.

They then reconvened at the karaoke lounge, where they were seen laughing and joking around with each other before their passionate display.

Following their date, the pair were pictured heading back to a £2,000-a-night West Hollywood hotel together.

While appearing on Chelsea Handler's one-time Netflix talk show Chelsea last year, Kate revealed that she felt a good relationship with Michael stemmed from their mutual care for their daughter.

'I think the thing is, if you both really put your kid’s well-being first and share a sense of humour,' she said, 'you’re sort of halfway there.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
