«Breaking News» I'm A Celebrity: Viewers call for Ant McPartlin to make a return to the jungle

He's currently on an extended break from all of his work commitments as he bounces back from his drink-drive charge and rehab stint.

But Ant McPartlin made a surprise appearance on Wednesday's edition of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!'s Extra Camp in hilarious flashback clips of the show.

Showcasing his chemistry with host Declan Donnelly, the segment sent viewers wild as they called for the 43-year-old to make a return to the series, which is currently presented by Dec, also 43, and Holly Willoughby, 37.

Presented by Extra Camp host Joe Swash, the spin-off show displayed clips of Ant and Dec dating back to 2005.

The hosting duo put on supportive displays as they cheered on former contestants Joe, 36, in 2008, Sheree Murphy, 43, in 2005, and J Brown with Janice Dickinson in 2007, during challenging Bushtucker trials.

Viewers took to Twitter to share their delight on watching the throwback clips, with one commenting: 'So good to see all the clips with Ant in on #ExtraCamp @antanddec #ImACeleb'.

'Great show tonight! Someone bring Ant to Australia I just want see something #ImACeleb', (sic) another penned.

A third agreed: 'Dec without Ant is driving me mad #imaceleb'.

While praising stand-in presenter Holly's current appearance, viewers clearly missed Ant after breaking tradition for the first time in 16 years.

'I just miss Ant. Respect to Holly, she's doing a good job of a good job, but Ant is a whole other level of brilliant, esp with Dec #ImACeleb' (sic), one wrote.

Another commented: 'Even though Holly is doing brilliant job alongside Dec @antanddec presenting @imacelebrity I'm looking forward to seeing Ant back on tv next year missing him!!! #ImACeleb' (sic).

'The only problem that I have with Holly on this show is that she is not Ant and they still try make her do Ant's job. She is great as presenter, as Holly, not as Ant. @ITV should improve this script #ImACeleb'.

With the help of stylist Angie Smith, Holly Willoughby made another stylish appearance on I’m A Celebrity last night.

Donning a checked shirt by La Redoute, Ellery denim skirt and her trusty boots from Grenson, she oozed effortless daytime chic.

Holly's Aussie wardrobe is packed with designer pieces, so we were pleased to discover her shirt is by La Redoute. Hailing from the brand’s Mademoiselle R label, it features an all-over checked print and ruffle detailing.

The best thing about this top is its versatility. It would look great tucked into high-waisted jeans, while working equally well with smart trousers and skirts of varying lengths.

This year's series has seen the likes of Nick Knowles, Fleur East and Emily Atack battle to be named King or Queen of the series.

The 18th series will finish on Sunday, with Harry Redknapp the odd's on favourite to take home the jungle crown.

Despite being the highest-paid ever contestant to appear on the show, scooping £600,000, Noel Edmonds became the first star to be eliminated, followed by Malique Thompson-Dwyer, Sair Khan and Rita Simons.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
