Holly Willoughby applied peppermint oil to her fingers to prevent herself from throwing up during the grim Bushtucker trials on Sunday. 

Her This Morning replacement Rochelle Humes, 29, praised the 'preparation' taken by the star as the 'best tactic' for coping with watching the gruesome trials.

As she and Dec Donnelly saw Fleur East splattered with rotten tomatoes and bugs, a 'nervous' Holly, 37, smelt her fragrant fingers to stop herself from being sick.

The mother-of-three was seen taking a whiff of her perfumed hand throughout the Gore Seasons pizza trial when things took a stomach-churning turn.

In a clip not shown on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, Holly admitted: 'We're dealing with very smelly things. 

'But I planned for this Bushtucker trial because it's going to be smelly. So I've got peppermint oil and scented oils on my fingers.' 

I'm A Celebrity Dec teased his co-host, who is standing in for Ant McPartlin this series, as he exposed she gets very nervous when it comes to the trials.

He said: 'Holly gets very nervous when it comes to the trial. She's alright in our little tree house up in the studio. But when it comes to the trial, she's looking everyday she goes, "OH GOD, OH GOD".'

Holly was left horrified in the trial when starving Fleur ate the mass of 100kg rotten tomatoes which had been poured all over her body.

'Oh my God, are you eating them?' The disgusted host asked.

Licking her lips, the singer joked: 'I need all the vitamins I can get.'  

Rochelle and Phillip Schofield were left in hysterical laughter when they joined Vicky Pattison to discuss Holly's coping mechanism.  

Rochelle responded: 'That is the best tactic. That is preparation!'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
