«Breaking News» I'm A Celebrity final: Holly Willoughby SCREAMS with terror as bugs crawl towards her

Holly Willoughby suffered a rollercoaster of emotions during the I'm A Celebrity final on Sunday, as she went from screaming in fear to shedding tears of distress during the last round of Bushtucker Trials.

The 37-year-old presenter was left cowering behind her co-host Declan Donnelly as cockroaches she had wiped off Emily Atack began to crawl towards her, after she completed the classic Fill Your Face trial.

Later on Holly was also left in tears as she watched eventual series winner Harry face the Danger Down Under trial, admitting to Dec she didn't like watching 'such a lovely man' suffer.

Coming into the show Holly admitted she had a substantial fear of most bugs and animals, and after dodging them throughout the series, this close encounter with some cockroaches left the This Morning host terrified.

After helping Emily to shake and brush them from their body, she squealed to Dec: 'They're coming towards us!'

Running around the clearing and grabbing Dec's shoulder, she seemed to have a stronger reaction than Emily.

But Dec seemed unsure of what to do, saying to the camera: 'Somebody help me here for goodness sake.'

Eventually Holly composed herself to bid farewell to Emily as she returned to camp, and after grabbing Dec's hand the duo made a hasty exit from the set.

It proved to be a roller coaster of a day for Holly, as she later proceeded to break down in tears while watching Harry's last trial, which saw him laid down in a chamber for five minutes while it began to fill with rats.

Out of nowhere the mother-of-three suddenly got teary-eyed, with Dec reminding her of it later in the studio.

Holly then went onto admit: 'I couldn't help it... hes a lovely man, he always makes me cry.'

It comes as Holly's stint as the stand-in I'm A Celebrity host finally came to an end, and she later spoke on Extra Camp about her unforgettable time Down Under.

Speaking to the sister show's hosts Joe Swash, Joel Dommett and Scarlett Moffatt, she said: 'It's been everything and more, I've been so lucky to have this experience without having to eat anything or have things crawl over me.

'I've literally stepped through the TV screen into one of my fave shows, there's nothing like this place.'

This comes amid reports that ITV bosses are pulling out all the stops to try and sign Holly for an I'm A Celebrity return next series, alongside Dec and Ant McPartlin.

A source told the Daily Star: 'The original plan was for Holly to stand in while Ant was off and then hand the baton back. But she’s been such a success that producers are now keen to keep her whatever happens.

'Many presenters would have crumbled under the pressure of joining such a big show, but Holly stepped up to the plate. The top people at ITV are now really keen to get her back next year.

'It now depends on whether or not she wants to do another series. Being in Australia for five weeks is a big commitment. She has her family to think about. And she also has her commitments at This Morning to think about', they added.

The insider also shared that bosses are set to present an offer to Holly by March next year.

Representatives for Holly and ITV declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline.

So far the mum-of-three has been received warmly by viewers, with the launch show even drawing in a record-breaking 14 million viewers.

The 37-year-old presenter was left cowering behind her co-host Declan Donnelly as...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
