«Breaking News» Corrie's Sally Dynevor goes Christmas shopping as alter ego Metcalfe prepares to go to jail

Sally Metcalfe was sentenced to four years behind bars after being found guilty of fraud in Coronation Street.

Yet worlds away from Weatherfield, Sally Dynevor got a head start on her Christmas shopping when she bought some presents at Dunelm, Atrincham on Monday.

The soap star, 55, struggled to carry her abundance of festive presents as she left the store with two big boxes and a furry rug in her hands.

Luckily, the Corrie actress wasn't travelling by foot when she made her purchases and she had her car keys to hand.

Sally embraced the seasonal chill as she kept warm in a turtleneck jumper which she paired with a cooler pair of cut-off leggings.

Meanwhile on the screen, her character was sentenced to four years in prison for fraud, money laundering and bribery.

Viewers raged on Twitter that Sally did not deserve such a harsh sentence after being wrongfully found guilty for the crime. 

Fans were furious that Sally's husband Tim believed the claims she had an affair with the conman Duncan after being fed the lies by his sister-in-law Gina.

The sister-in-law has secret duplicitous plans to break up the fan favourite couple.

In a tense double-bill, Sally (played by Dynevor) was brought before the judge once again to hear her sentence, after being found guilty of fraud, money laundering and bribery.

While the villainous Duncan got off lightly with 200 hours of community service, Sally was devastated when she was informed she would have to go to jail. 

Sally broke down in hysterical tears when she was sent down before she was comforted by her cellmate Abi.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
