Fay detailed how she approached those she knew who were battling cancer, to get their approval ahead of filming such a difficult storyline.

She told The Mirror: 'I didn't want them to think I was there taking notes, if you know what I mean. But I could observe my amazing, brave, beautiful, funny, brilliant friends and family who have it and go, that's what I want to portray.'

Fay explained how having loved ones with cancer inspired her to try to show the positives, even in such a heartbreaking situation.

She said: 'It's a fine line between the moments when you are s*** scared and the moments where, you don't forget about it, but you do carry on with your life. And you put the bins out. So it was about getting that balance right.'

The talented actress also admitted that she was unsure if it was something that the ITV series should tackle.

She confessed: 'I mainly thought, 'oh God – do we need to see this in Cold Feet?' I wasn't sure it was the right storyline, because I didn't want it to be soapy. People say to me 'was it really hard?' No, because I haven't got breast cancer. What's hard is getting it right.'

The mother-of-two revealed that she worries constantly and is 'completely terrified' about cancer.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
