«Breaking News» Cleveland police body camera footage shows the sobbing victim of Kareem Hunt giving a statement

Cleveland law enforcement officials have released police body camera footage of their interview with the woman who was shown on video being assaulted by now-former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt last winter, immediately following the incident.

Throughout the video the 19-year-old female breaks down in tears, describing how an employee at the 9 hotel in downtown Cleveland refused to help her call 911 and called her a 'slut'.

The footage of the interview with the victim was captured on bodycam inside the lobby of the hotel, where the attack took place on February 10.

News of Hunt, 23, attacking the woman gained renewed attention on Friday when TMZ posted surveillance video showing Hunt shoving the woman and then kicking her while she is on the ground.

The Chiefs, which knew of the incident in February, released Hunt hours after the video was made public.

Hunt admitted he was 'in the wrong' in an interview with ESPN on Sunday.

The video begins with the woman in tears while standing in the hotel lobby, asking to give her statement and telling officers she tried to call them '30 minutes ago.'

'I came down here, I was assaulted by a player on the 23rd floor, I came down here, I asked the front desk if I could call 911 three different times, he told me "no" because I'm a "slut,"' she says.

The woman gestures off camera to someone and says, 'That man right there in the white shirt denied me calling 911, OK?' as she loses her breath for a moment between sobs.

'They have my phone upstairs still. I asked him if I could call 911 four different times,' she says.

The video then cuts to the woman standing in a different section of the lobby, hugging herself as she talks with police, as an officer asks here where she came from, thinking it may have been the Magnolia Club.

'I came here first,' she says.  'I was with my friend Ray and his friend, the one who assaulted me, I met him tonight,' she adds, referring to Hunt as the friend of her friend, Ray.

'Then we went to TownHall for a little bit,  we went to Magnolia, and then we came back here.'

The clip cuts again to show the woman sitting down on a couch now, slightly bent over and clutching her legs, visibly upset, as officers continue to talk to her

'We were sitting outside of the hotel...' she starts, before stopping, in tears, and saying, 'I'm sorry.'

She goes on to describe being outside and trying to find a way home when a 'blonde girl' came outside and asked her what she was doing, why she was sitting there, and telling her to go home, at which point the woman says Hunt comes outside.

'And then he comes outside, first of all he's calling his friends who are sitting down here,' she says.

The police ask her who 'he' is and she says she's talking about 'Kareem.'

'Kareem, his name, I just met him today, the person who assaulted me,' she says. 'I mean, he shoved me, he pushed me, you can watch the videotapes which I would like to see, if that's possible.'

She then describes asking to call 911 at the front desk again, and being denied.

'I'm not sure if that's against the law to deny that to a person at the front desk of a hotel,' she says.

'I asked him three separates times and he's like, "That's what you get for being a slut," and wouldn't let me call 911, meanwhile Kareem, the person who assaulted me, had my phone. I couldn't, I had no way of calling.'

An officer then says, more like a question, 'That's your phone.'

'Yes,' the woman responds, 'they got it back for me.' Then she breaks down, and has to pause before the video cuts to show officers photographing her injuries.

After another quick cut, the woman tells police, 'I still don't have my sim card, so when this happened...'

A police officers jumps in at this moment to tell the woman he has asked about the sim card and 'he,' whoever 'he' is in this reference, 'said he doesn't have it.'

'He said he did throw your phone, he doesn't know if it fell out when he threw it or something,' the officer says.

The woman then asks the officers to come upstairs with her and look for it, and they say they will.

'He literally had my phone in his hands, and was about to crack it in front of my face,' she says, 'and then threw it against the wall.'

Before the footage ends, the woman asks police if she has any recourse over the hotel employee denying her the ability to call 911 and referring to her as a 'slut,' she says, and police suggest to her she may want to look into civil measures against the hotel.

'The reason I'm here is because you were assaulted,' an officers says, to which the woman replies, 'Right, I get that. Thank you,' as the clip ends.

'I mean, it don't matter, I'm just trying to go to bed,' Hunt says.

Hunt tells officers his first name is Kareem and then they ask him to get his ID, as he walks off camera before the clip ends.

The NFL was aware of the incident in February, despite the video becoming public only last Friday and the city releasing records that show the NFL didn't ask for police reports until the video surfaced.

The city said on Wednesday that an unidentified Cleveland police offer gave the report to the NFL near the time of the incident, according to TMZ.

'Following an internal review, it has been determined that in February 2018 a member of the Cleveland Division of Police provided a copy of the police report involving the February 10, 2018 assault incident at The 9 to a representative from the National Football League,' per a statement to TMZ.

'The report did not go through the official public records request process.'

The city also said it is reviewing the 'overall response' by the police department regarding its handling of the incident.

Hunt was not arrested or charged at the time of the incident.

He went unclaimed on waivers on Monday after his release from the Chiefs and has lost his endorsement from Under Armour.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
