«Breaking News» Christmas dinner pasty now available at Morrisons

If you're looking for a quick and cheap alternative to a Christmas dinner and want to do away with all of that washing up, then look no further.

Supermarket chain Morrisons has combined two of the nation's favourite meals to come up with a quirky, Christmas dinner-meets-pasty hybrid.

One sale from today at Pie Shop counters inside the supermarkets, the pasty costs £2.50, and is stuffed with three courses; a pâté starter, turkey and stuffing, plus a helping of Christmas pudding, all wrapped in pastry.

For their starter, diners are treated to Ardennes pâté, sweet apple chutney and Melba toast. A third of the way through the pasty comes the main course: succulent British turkey with sage and onion stuffing, potato, pigs in blankets, cranberries and a creamy sauce. And saving the best until last - there's a rich Christmas pudding with brandy sauce for dessert

The pasty is crimped and filled by hand, and is made in Cornwall. It will be available from Morrisons Pie Shop counters from 10th December until Christmas.

For their starter, diners are treated to the classic combination of Ardennes pâté, sweet apple chutney and Melba toast.

The pasty is conveniently marked with an 'x' so you know which end to start from - as nobody wants their dessert before their starter!

And for dessert, at the end of the pasty, is rich Christmas pudding with brandy sauce.

The idea for the Christmas Dinner Pasty was inspired by the original Cornish Pasties, which combined savoury and sweet parts.

They were carried underground by tin miners and contained meat and vegetables in one end, and jam or fruit in the other.

Chefs at Morrisons took three months to perfect the pasty, which comes with an arrow baked into the pastry crust so diners know which end to start with.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
