An emotionless Chris Watts is seen being hand and foot-printed at the Weld County Jail in new video obtained by DailyMail.com in a request filed under the Colorado Open Records Act.
Watts is seen entering the communal area of the jail while officers check to make sure there are no other inmates present.
Once the room is cleared, prosecutors from the district attorney’s office and the lead detective on the case enter the room and go about getting the evidence they need in investigating the case.
The video was filmed one week after the court granted prosecutors the right to take the prints, a request that Watts and his defense team fought hard against at the time.
The prosecution and members of the Fredericks Police Department had already been granted the right to the prints, but filed an order asking that agents from the Colorado Bureau of Investigations also be allowed to do the same given their role in the case.
Watts says little and has no real interaction as his hands are photographed and printed, after which he is seen washing his hands.
He then takes a lengthy shower after he is foot-printed by the team, emerging after in his orange prison suit and a pair of crocs.
The entire process takes about an hour.
Watts was eventually moved to a Colorado facility after a judge ruled he was to serve five life sentences without parole for the murders of Shanann, Celeste and Bella Watts.

He was then transferred to a facility in Wisconsin, where he will now spend the rest of his life.
Watts had been having an affair at the time of the murders, but his motive its still unclear.
He had initially claimed that he killed Shanann after he told her he wanted to separate and then found her strangling one of their daughters.
At the time he witnessed this he claimed their other daughter had already been killed by her mother.
It was the evidence collected on this day however that likely shattered that story, and within weeks he had entered a guilty plea to all three murders.
Shannon and her daughters were buried earlier this year in North Carolina.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
