Alejando Vargas Martinez, 15, was shot execution style while walking to school
Police are offering a $10,000 reward for help catching the killer of a Florida teen shot execution style while walking to school.
Alejando Vargas Martinez, 15, was making his way to class in Orlando at 6:30am on Tuesday when he was gunned down on a quiet street next to an elementary school.
The shooting happened just half a mile from Boone High School campus and police have not released a motive for the slaying.
His aunt, Dolka Martinez, told Spectrum News: 'He was such a great boy, a good son, awesome brother, nephew. He was such a lovable boy.'
Tragic Alejando, who was pronounced dead at hospital, walked to school everyday.
Sheriff John Mina said: 'Certainly the death of a child, a 15-year-old, is extremely tragic and to happen one week before Christmas, I can't imagine how the parents are feeling right now.'
Police are now offering a $10,000 reward for any help in identifying the slain teenager's killer or killers.
His family have set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money for funeral expenses for Martinez, Click Orlando reports.
It is the second Boone High School student death in as many months, The Orlando Sentinal reports, and the school was put on lockdown following the shooting.

Principal Dusty Johns wrote on Facebook: 'We were made aware by law enforcement that early this morning one of our students was tragically killed on the way to school.
'Our thoughts and prayers are with the family as they go through this extremely difficult time.
'We will have a crisis team on campus to provide counseling assistance for students and staff. In addition, out of an abundance of caution, we will have additional law enforcement presence on campus.
'The safety and well-being of our students is my top priority.'
Orange County School Board member Linda Kobert described Alejando as 'a great kid' who was 'well-known and well-liked.'
She added: 'It's just a question mark as to any kind of motive.'
Another Boone student, Kody Larue, was found dead last month at a nearby home.
Police believe his mom Leslie McKinley, 47, took her own life after killing her son, according to reports.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
