«Breaking News» Meghan Markle takes inspiration from sister-in-law Kate for her Morocco tour wardrobe

She has carved out her own style since joining the Royal Family, but it would seem the Duchess of Sussex still turns to sister-in-law for wardrobe ideas.

Mother-to-be Meghan, 37, stepped out in several Kate-inspired looks as she joined Prince Harry, 34, on their royal tour of Morocco over the weekend.

From a sweeping cream evening gown to a classic Breton top, Meghan sported key pieces that have previously been seen on the stylish Duchess of Cambridge.

Despite carving out her own style as a royal, Kate-inspired looks have worked their way into Meghan Markle's wardrobe. The Duchess of Sussex wore a custom-made Dior gown during the royal tour of Morocco

Meghan kicked off the royal tour of Morocco in a red Valentino dress.

The bold red dress had cape detailing and effortlessly skimmed over her blossoming bump.

She teamed the dress with simple nude heels - a favourite of Kate's who is often sporting a simple beige court shoe.

Kate, 37, who works with stylist Natasha Archer Jackson, has also stepped out in bold scarlet hue.

She wore a similar red gown by Alexander McQueen at the British Ambassador's residence in Berlin for a belated celebration of the Queen's 91st birthday in July 2017.

And the similarities don't stop there.

On the second day of the Morocco tour, Meghan wore a custom made Dior gown for a reception hosted by the British Ambassador to Morocco in Rabat.

The ivory kaftan-style gown featured stunning embellished sleeves. She teamed the floor-sweeping dress with diamond earrings and a matching clutch.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore a similarly striking dress in February last year, when she was pregnant with Prince Louis, during a gala dinner at the royal palace in Norway.

Kate's blush pink gown featured silver embellishment and had a cape detail.

She accessorised the floaty chiffon dress, also by Alexander McQueen, with diamond earrings and the bracelet the Queen wore on her wedding day.

For the third day in the North African country, Meghan opted for a more dressed down look that was very Kate-inspired.

A breton-striped tee and skinny jean combo is one of sister-in-law Kate's staple looks. She has been spotted in the classic look several times including at the Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire.

A royal newbie, it's no surprise Meghan would take fashion inspiration from Kate who has had a lot more experience on dressing for royal engagements.

A royal insider told Elle.com: 'Kate has been on hand to help guide Meghan with advice about certain designers and royal protocol.'

According to the insider, Meghan's stylist Jessica Mulroney reportedly 'keeps an eye' on Kate's style and believes she is a 'great role model'.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
