A three-year-old boy who has been missing for two days in freezing temperatures has been miraculously found alive in good health near the North Carolina home he disappeared from.
Casey Hathaway was found by professional search and rescue crews in Craven County in eastern North Carolina on Thursday night following an extensive two day search of a wooded area.
The little boy is now with his family and being evaluated at a local hospital, according to authorities.
He had been missing for more than 48 hours by the time he was found and authorities had raised concerns about the extremely cold temperatures.
Casey was only wearing a coat and sweatpants when he vanished.

Casey had been playing with two other children in his great-grandmother's backyard on Tuesday but didn't come inside with them.
His great-grandmother and family members searched the woods behind her home for 45 minutes before she frantically called 911.
'We lost my two-year-old grandson. He was walking in the woods back there and we can't find him. 3-year-old grandson,' says the panicked great-grandmother in the audio, which was obtained by DailyMail.com.
She told the operator that Casey had been playing with his sister and cousin at the time.
'The other ones come through the house but left him there and he walked off somewhere and we can't find him.'
The sheriff's office launched an extensive search for the little boy that involved multiple law enforcement agencies and also Marines who were trained to operate in difficult conditions.
Divers also joined the search to help look in ponds and sinkholes spread throughput the dense woods where Casey was last seen.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
