«Breaking News» Marvel brings Best Picture nominee Black Panther back to theaters FOR FREE for Black History Month

Almost exactly one year after Black Panther debuted in theaters, Marvel is bringing the Best Picture nominee back to theaters with free screenings.


Marvel announced on Monday that Black Panther will return to theaters for a one-week theatrical run from February 1 through 7, in honor of Black History Month.


The one-week engagement will be in 250 AMC Theatres locations in all 50 states, and fans can visit Disney Ticket Booking to book tickets now.

Once all tickets for this initial run are claimed, Disney will then open up a, 'limited waiting list for cancellations before showing it as "Fully booked."'


Fans can book up to two tickets at a time, and they can also request multiple screenings if there are more than one in their area.

There will be two screenings at each theater each day between February 1 and February 7, at 4 PM and 7 PM local time.

Along with the free screenings, Disney is also making another positive impact by giving a $1.5 million grant to the United Negro College Fund (UNCF).


'Black Panther is groundbreaking for many reasons, including the rich diversity of voices behind its success,' said Disney CEO Bob Iger in a statement.


'The story also showcases the power of knowledge to change the world for the better, and the importance of ensuring everyone has access to it,' the statement continued.

'We’re proud to provide thousands of free screenings of Black Panther in hopes it will continue to inspire audiences,' Iger concluded. 


Black Panther ended 2018 as the biggest box office hit of the year at the domestic box office, earning just over $700 million.


The superhero adventure became just the third movie ever to earn over $700 million domestically, following Avatar ($760.5 million) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($936.6. million).

Black Panther won the coveted Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night.


The superhero adventure, which stars Chadwick Boseman as the title character, was also nominated for seven Oscars, including Best Picture.


It will go up against BlacKkKlansman, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Favourite, Green Book, Roma, A Star Is Born and Vice for Best Picture at the 91st Oscars, airing Sunday, February 24 on ABC.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
