Before and after: A group of Australian mothers have revealed a little-known trick to remove the stubborn stains for good - and it's a common product you already have in your fridge

Why milk works on red wine stains

The milk trick works as a solvent because it acts as both an acid and a base due to its ingredients of water, salts and fat.

The milk persuades the red wine to absorb into its fat content instead of the fabric.

The higher the fat content, the more effective the red wine stains will lift away from the clothes.

'Soak in milk and once the stain vanishes, run a cycle to remove the milk smell,' one woman said.

'I've done it when my new top was ruined. Just need to soak it for a while and ta-da! My dress was new again.'

'Yep, I've done milk for red wine stains. Works well.'

The milk method should only be used on clothes because you can easily wash them in the washing machine afterwards

Using milk on your carpet could help remove the stains but the process can lead to foul smells or mould if you don't remove it properly.

Besides the milk trick, other mothers suggested the common tricks such as shaving gel, wine wine, soda water and even bicarb soda.

'I have a shaving gel that lifts stains - brilliant. It is a safe product too. Can put it straight onto jeans as you are wearing them,' one woman said.

Another wrote: 'White wine does work if you are prepared to waste some.'

And another commented: 'Bicarb soda. Make a paste and then put it on the stain. Give it a scrub and then wash them in the machine.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
