A 29-year-old man has been left injured after he was sprayed with 'ammonia' on a busy London street this evening in the second 'acid attack' of the day.
The man was attacked on Roman Road in Tower Hamlets at around 5.40pm and police were called to the scene.
The victim has been rushed to hospital however his injuries are not believed to be serious and an investigation is underway.

A police spokesperson said: 'We're dealing with an incident at around 5.40pm in which a substance, believed to be ammonia, was thrown at a 29-yr-old man in the area of Roman Rd, E3.
'The victim was taken to hospital. Thankfully we understand injuries are not serious. Investigation is underway; no arrest yet.

Earlier today a 21-year-old man was been rushed to hospital after he was attacked with acid in north-east London this morning.
The victim had the substance thrown over his face and also suffered cuts to his hands, believed to have been caused by a knife.
Officers rushed to Stoke Newington High Street after they were alerted to the attack by the London Ambulance Service at about 2.35am.
The London Fire Brigade was also at the scene.
A spokeswoman for Scotland Yard said: Officers attended and found a 21-year-old man who had been assaulted, with a corrosive substance thrown over his face.
'The man has been taken to an east London hospital. His injuries are not being treated as life-threatening or life-changing.'
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
