Frank Adonis - who starred as Anthony Stabile in 1990's Goodfellas - passed away on Wednesday night in Las Vegas.
The actor died after a long battle with bad health, reported TMZ on Thursday. He was 83 years old.
Adonis - who starred in some of Martin Scorsese's most famous films including Raging Bull and Casino - had been unwell for a couple of years, according to his wife Denise, mainly with 'kidney problems,' reported the website.

He had been on dialysis and was breathing using a ventilator for the past nine days, but they waited until after Christmas to take him off it, the site added.
Denise told the site, 'He will be missed. He was a great father and an amazing husband. He helped all his friends he could. Great writer, director and actor. He was my best friend.'
His friend Phil Castellano shared a note on Facebook for the actor.
'It is with a very heavy heart this morning to tell you of the passing [of] Frank Adonis [cheech],' he said.
'In his last few months he suffered like an animal,' Castellano continued. 'I first met him when I was 3 years old and he was a friend [of] big brother Uncle Cheech and my lifelong buddy he was older than me but he always treated me like an equal.'
He added, 'I will miss him forever. God Rest Your Soul Uncle Frankie.'

The star made his big screen debut in 1971, as a bidder in the French Connection.
He went to to appear in a number of popular films, including Wall Street, True Romance and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.
He was born on October 27, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York as Frank Testaverde Scioscia.
He moved to Las Vegas from Brooklyn in 2008.
He is survived by his wife Denise, 62, and their two children, Francesco, 26, and Brianna, 24, and another daughter from a previous marriage.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
